发帖数: 166 | 1 我每年Lexington 和 Winchester都有不少的成交，而且我也住在Lexington，但我并不
觉得Winchester的房子比Lexington的便宜，这2个Town都有自己的优缺点，譬如：
1、Lexington中小学亚裔学生占到33%左右，高中占40%左右，而Winchester占15%左右
。Lexington各个族裔都有，而Winchester以犹太裔为主。
2、Lexington各个小学比较平均，但Winchester的Lynch小学不是很好。
3、Lexington大部分地区靠近高速公路，交通方便，而Winchester除了Muraco学区外，
其他地区离高速公路有一定的距离。
4、Lexington地税1.486%, 而Winchester 1.214%，但而Winchester居民需要自己倒垃
圾。
5、Lexington大部分房子lot大，而Winchester的Muraco和Ambrose学区Lot较小。 |

winchester 学区不比belmont 差。 -- 不特别在乎细微差别的表示淡定
winchester不收垃圾，自己送。 -- $200 一年的垃圾费吧。 也可以请公司来收垃圾。
不过一个星期一次请公司来收垃圾，还不如上班的时候顺便带到垃圾场。我比较喜欢自
己倒垃圾的感觉，虽然我不是家里倒垃圾的那个人，但是每次倒垃圾清理回收，挺有一
种为环境做贡献的赶脚。 喜欢的赶脚---无价。
水费便宜 - yes
学校沒有aftercare. 不上班的家庭妇女多 --- 中文学校 after school 去接孩子。
还有一些 afterschool program， 另外交钱。 具体多少我问领导
Winchester 在修高中，里面将会有崭新的室内游泳池。
Winchester有公交车 134， 挺方便的，做到 Wellington Station.
感觉 Winchester有一种淡然和悠闲，Town比较小，没有什么 traffic.没有business.
CVS 要修个大店子， 被很多人反对，现在好像搁浅了。 反正有一种清高和隐于市的感

winchester不收垃圾，自己送。水费便宜，学校沒有aftercare. 不上班的家庭妇女多
，家庭收入中数高于belmont.
belmont 小学内有aftercare. 另外有extra curriculum. 就是兴趣班，下午放学后3-4
点，挺方便的。school lunch 也便宜点。belmont high有室内swimming pool.
winchester 好像没有。
两town 都有commuter rail ，但belmont 公交车多. 67，72，76，73，84 等，交通上
更方便。
winchester 中国人也挺多的，但小学里中国娃分布不均，有的可能就沒有。belmont的
四个小学，总能找到同班的中国娃。 |

了好学区而选Winchester，而该学区在麻州，甚至美国都排在前面的，你买房也是为了
自住，就不用太介意每年的跌幅涨幅了吧。 Winchester在地理位置上是很不错的，离
93和95高速都很近。如果不堵车，20分钟左右可以到Boston downtown了。也可以选择
Commuter Rail，就在town center。 我还是很喜欢town center的环境的，小桥流水，
绿树成荫... 如果要求不太高，按现在的行情，50万还是可以在这里买到不错的single
house的。其实不管你住在town的哪个角落，都是去那几家小学和唯一的middle
school和high school。另外，这个town的中国人比例还是蛮高的。 希望对你有参考价

工作在城里的话，是不是买winchester信价比要高不少？ belmont更贵，而且一大问题
是不靠近任何高速？ 会不会有些指标上一眼看不出来的“文化”因素belmont要远领先
winchester很多?

Hill 那算好点儿。但公车这还是Belmont方便，路太破，人太杂，开车没问题的话，
winchester更理想，进城只需15分钟。个人喜欢Winchester！ |

Winchester以前是传统的old white town，现在开始逐渐加入新鲜血液，但是和
Lexington, Newton, Arlington，Belmont还是不能比。 |

the school choice option that allowed 13 students to transfer from the Lynch

preschool的价格。这两个 是在winchester town里的。
如果你不一定要在winchester上的话，周边的也可以考虑的话，我儿子现在Burlington
的 Knowledge Beginnings 上的，$1300 preschool.

坐火车从Winchester到cambridge不是特别方便，commuter rail只能到north station
，然后要么坐另一条线反向到porter square或alewife，要么坐地铁绿线倒红线，我每
次都要折腾一个小时
我老板给了我一条线路traffic不多，风景也不错，从winchester到harvard square开
车25分钟 |

去年和今年，老爸又去了几次Winchester Hospital, 每次都很满意。各个方面都满意
，看病快,全，仔细，且准！ 而且，老爸的保险好，没来过一个账单。

比较喜欢Vincent Owen, 因为它最近花了大价钱改建了。初高中最近几年略有下降，但
McCall还一直能排进前十，winchester high比Lexington high 稍不如，不过相差有限
. 下面几年要改建高中了，希望排名也相應提高。私校方面， st Mary风评不錯（
preschool-五年级）。 |

晨开车也是20-25分钟到central sq。Winchester至少40分钟。
Public transport更没法比了。Belmont西边有73，超级频繁。东边Winnbrook一片有74
，78到Harvard，还有dedicated bike path可以骑车去Alewife。 |
