不过罪恶感也有危险。索忍尼辛的小说The First Circle中有一个囚犯，着魔似地把每
一个坏念头，每一个小缺点都在一张粉红色纸上划个记号。我也认识不少基督徒，一辈
子特别注意自己的缺点，有些是在压抑的环境中长大，一直戒慎恐惧，低着头，躲开任
何看起来有点乐趣的事，总怕自己会犯了上帝律例中的那一条。
马丁路德在早期作修士的年代，每天要为各个细微的罪和所有不良的思想自省忏悔，甚
至长达六小时，把听他告解的神父弄得精疲力尽。有个老师给他弄急了说：「孩子啊，

“邮件门”余波未平，美国民主党总统候选人希拉里·克林顿又卷入一桩丑闻。
据美联社当地时间24日报道，在梳理希拉里担任国务卿头两年的日程表和邮件后发现，
她接见过的非公务人士当中，超过一半曾向克林顿家族的基金会捐过钱。美联社称，虽
然眼下尚未发现其中有何违法之处，但这一“异乎寻常的比例”不免令人揣测希拉里有
以权谋私之嫌，更让人对她的政治操守产生质疑。
不过，希拉里竞选团队指责美联社的报道是“交叉引用信息”并过渡解读，希拉里的工
作难免会与那些向克林顿基金会捐款的慈善家有交集。

有朋友看到我在網上的貼文便問我：「愛國教育有什麼不好？」我回答：「你知道你愛
的是甚麼嗎？你愛的是這一個政權、是共和國、還是中國文化和這片土地上的人民？」
看著他茫然的眼神我想起了一件往事。
大約十年前我在希臘旅途上遇到了四個來自日本的青年男女，大家結伴同行。在一次晚
餐席間，我向他們詢問了有關日本侵華及南京大屠殺的那一段歷史。他們告訴我日本的
教科書把那段歷史輕輕帶過，說的含糊，其實他們沒有什麼印象。看著他們那一雙雙茫
然的眼神，作為中國人，我的心里很不好受。
我們至今還會痛斥日本人不肯面對歷史，死不認錯；相反，我們讚揚德國人在戰後的教
育全神貫注於過去的罪惡，並願意向從前的受害者道歉。回過頭來我們有否自省，我們
面對了自己的歷史了嗎？
歷史是一個群體的共同記憶，亦是同宗同源民族歸屬感的根本。在英治時期歷史教育聊
勝於無，不被重視，亦偷偷地避開了國族間的仇恨，如將鴉片戰爭這種連英國本土都不
接受的毒品交易說成是貿易爭端。香港人沒有「出國」的概念，只有「出埠」的說法；
