的太平洋水域堆积，形成“大太平洋垃圾带”。
触目惊心
非营利组织“海洋清理基金会”支持的研究团队对这一垃圾带进行实地取样考察，发现
三个特点触目惊心：
面积大。覆盖面积超过160万平方公里，相当于3个法国本土面积之和；
堆积快。比此前科学家估计速度高出了近16倍；
颗粒小。塑料微粒虽然只占总质量的8%，却占预计漂浮在此区域塑料总数的94%。
垃圾带中有大量尺寸大于5厘米的塑料废弃物，包括硬塑料、塑料片材和薄膜，包括合
成纤维制成的渔网。
