don't follow the stupid "if i can't find a job i will do this phd" logic. it

其实是很大的一个 business plan 的一部分。
现在电子产品更新换代很快，对应的 e-waste 也很多。这其中很大一部分是集成电路
。这些集成电路都是近几年生产的，以表面贴片为主， 如果按重量比的话，大概有1%~
2% 的重量是四个9的金线。
如果能将e-waste 中的金线收集起来（什么方法暂且按下不表），提纯，再熔炼，就会
是很好的 business.
初步的想法是:
Au+4HCL+2H2O2=AuCl4+2H2O+O2 (即金线在强氧化剂的作用下溶于浓盐酸）
强氧化剂可以是双氧水，硝酸盐甚至是次氯酸盐，就是bleach了。
溶解后的氯化金用硫代硫酸钠还原成金属金。
废液先用铜置换出贵金属，然后用铁置换出铜，最后用 NaOH 析出氧化铁城滤渣，废液
就无害化处理到只有Na, Cl-. 不违反任何环境保护法规。
沉淀出来的金属金熔融后可以进一步用电解提纯，这样估计达到两个9的纯度没有问题。
假如一天可以处理 20磅的集成电路e-waste （大概一个塑料购物袋的体积）， 一个月
25天可以处理 500磅， 粗粗的估算金的回收率是 50% 的话 （损失... 阅读全帖 |

standard.
What EPA has is a National Recommend Water Quality Criteria. You can GOOGLE
it. Every state develop their own surface water quality criteria based on
the EPA recommend level.
The criteria for individual waste water discharge is even more complicated.
Depends on the watershed they are in, the applicable standard might be based
on anti-degradation or TMDL level. |

现在课程发现主要有2大类,比如都是hydrology方面的,像surface water hydrology,
ground water hydrology,或者hydrology desigh之类的
还有些课程就是主要针对waste water treatment的,有关于物理化学方法,
biotechnology的..
我一个老美同学(此人在政府机构关于水环境监测部门上班)和我说hydrology和waste
water 对以后毕业工作是截然不同的2个方向,一个是关于water resource的,一个是关
于environmental的...
所以我现在很困惑..我因为也不确定2年毕业后会找什么工作,怎么决定hydrology和
waste water treatment的这2大方向课,到底选哪个???或者我2个方面都选点,这样以后
找工作,每个方面的都懂一些,懂的广点,是不是能扩大我找工作的范围???还是我现在就
应该集中一个领域选课,比如所有研究生课程都选关于hydrology方面的???

看完他blog的《现在在哪里买房风险小》，我只能笑着摇摇头。在我眼里，这个列表与
其说是“风险小”列表，不如说是“房子难涨地区列表”。试论证一二：
1. 常言道“强者恒强，弱者恒弱”。NYC, SF地区房价高企不是一年两年了，支撑房价
的不是那个affordability的percentage，而是能afford的人口数和房子总数的比例。
这里看百分比是没有多大意义的。只要还有人能买得起还愿意买，即使affordability
只有15%又如何呢？

设好的配送地址送到学校。捐助人不管身在国外还国内，都能通过网络操作轻松完成捐

昨天是父亲节，29岁的山东小伙姚金飞送给父亲的是一份特殊礼物，这是他和身患肺癌的父亲共同摄制的一部反映父子亲情的电影。姚金飞说：“正是因为拍摄这部电影，让父亲原本只有三四个月的生命，延续了一年零9个月。”
细腻故事感动网友
