near the top of the Washington Monument presumably caused by a magnitude-5.8
earthquake that shook the East Coast.
Park service spokesman Bill Line said Tuesday night that structural
engineers found the crack where the 555-foot landmark narrows considerably.
He says the monument will be closed indefinitely to keep the public safe.

作为washington park的老球员(最近好久没去了),我大概知道一些情况.
1.washington park是龙蛇混杂,不过好像没有什么racial tension, 主要是一般老中不
和老外打.
2.常去的老韩有两个,年纪都不小了,都很physical. 其中一个话不多,一个话很多, 都
喜欢打篮下. 平常打球好像没有什么民族情绪.
3.感觉老中之间吵得更多. LOL |

的滑水活动。基本上是有钱的出钱，有力的出力。有个热衷于水上运动的达人出船、带
板子；我们剩下人的带食物。
中午时分到达seward park。我到的比较早，在andrews bay里面游了一下热身。天阴着
，但是水一点儿也不冷，比Jenny Lake要暖和多了。一点左右朋友陆续到达，天也放晴
，气温一下子升起来，大家的热情一下子就被点燃了，各个跃跃欲试。但是为了安全起
见，开船的朋友先带我们每个人出去兜一圈，算是熟悉一下，找找平衡的感觉。
我以前玩过几次，用的比较初级的双板，这次也不例外。小心翼翼地从水边起步，示意
开船的人慢慢加速，体会了一下站起，还好。于是小心地试着转弯，心里念叨着，“跟
滑雪一样，转弯倒向圆心一侧脚放松，另一侧保持紧张，用内侧边……”。经常玩滑水
的南方人一定会耻笑我们，但是没办法，毕竟适合玩这个的季节只有夏天这两个月，每
次都得从头熟悉。在wake里转弯练了几次，还算比较平稳，胆子大了起来，试着复习双

西雅图惊魂一夜
本来这一夜是在Washington的最后一夜，但为吸引眼球就摆在第一篇了。 话说LD和偶
在Washington玩儿了一周，海滩，冰川，雨林，火山都溜达了一圈，其中虽有小波折，
但大体顺顺利利，开开心心，十分尽兴，只差一个吃吃喝喝，功德就完满了。于是玩儿
完Mt. St. Helen后临时改主意直奔Seattle Chinatown。去之前没打算要来Seattle，
没好好做功课，只记得一个七星椒，没想到跟着GPS里随便查的中餐馆，一下子就找到
了。一个小时后，杯盘狼藉，被服务员嘲笑“还好吃吗？”“好啊！野营一个礼拜什么
都好吃啊。”“你是大陆来的吧，大陆来的都不太挑食。”心中狂FT，夸你们店好，你
倒挖苦我，算算算，偶们是不挑食。
出的门来，天色已完，开到城外的Camping Site估计也要关了，索性住个Motel，明天
还可以去Pike’s Market逛一圈。掏出GPS（这次出来玩它可立了大功了，以后再讲）
，附近一搜，挨个打电话过去，“50？还有空房 |

沿着2号公路，一路上都是浓重的雾气，让人有些失望，已经开出来很久了，还是白茫茫
一片，阳光到哪里去了，秋的色彩又到哪里去了？
快到Stevens Pass的时候，蓝天波的一下，就从浓厚的云雾后面跃了出来，耀眼的阳光
瞬间洒满了整个视野，奇妙的分界线。
阳光暖暖的，路两侧的山林，有斑斓的秋叶，这里没有象New England，或者Michigan那
样大片的落叶林，但是少许斑斑点点的黄红色，在山石的映衬下更加的醒目突出。
Wenatchee river，汇到了2号公路边，已经进入了Tumwater Canyon。从这里经过很多次
