上周六去Washington dc 跑了north face 的 50km, 成绩非常一般 7小时43分钟，不过
天时（天气酷热，当天34度，感觉40度），地利（从多伦多一路开车过来，跑前只睡了
4个小时觉），人和（跑前训练不规律，尤其缺乏山地训练）都不在， 最后能够顺利完
成，没有中暑，抽筋，受伤就算成功。
记一下具体的过程，比较唐，希望能给一些像我这样的基础差，训练不系统，指望快走
就能搞定trail running 的人的经验教训。
这个比赛是两个月之前定的，目的主要是适应/体验一下trail running 的感觉，并为
utmb攒一个点数，目标是不受伤完成就好，希望能在7小时之内跑完。
跑前有训练，但是因为工作忙，还有出差，所以跑的不系统，最高的一周大约50km, 其

口中已听倦了那里建筑的大气和恢弘，更因为她在全世界的地位和影响力。作为世界上
最发达国家的首府，囊及耳熟能详的地标建筑像白宫，国会山，各个部委的行政总部和
点缀其间的博物馆等等。如果不漫步其中，很难触摸到充斥美国的政治气息和百年历史
积淀。此外，今年黑人总统Obama的当选，更使其成为世界关注的焦点。Obama的上台，
能否给目前陷入恶化的两伊战争和席卷全球的金融风暴的美国带来希望，更是牵动着不
少人的神经。
机会终于来了，我报名参加了一个教会活动，从中申请到了部分车旅费，这样我玩完
Florida后12月28号即从Orlando的MCO直飞Washington的IAD机场，整个假期行程因为连
在了一起，也省了一趟飞机的钱。年底去游玩Washington，也正好体验下新老总统交接
期间的现场氛围。

此次旅行以Pittsburgh作为起点和终点，途径华盛顿，巴尔的摩，费城等大城市，也去流水别墅，长木花园和阿米西人村落等乡间景点。

Falling Water是莱特的杰作，被美国建筑师学会评为美国建筑史上最伟大之作，正好在从Pittsburgh到DC路上。我们在官网预约了regular tour，20刀/人，参观主楼和附楼，大约1小时。tour每个10分钟一次，如果不预约，顶多等20分钟到半个小时，可以在gift shop和view point转转，问题也不大。去的路上下大雪，山上雪景很美丽，感觉初春的雪景不像冬天那么厚重，细细密密的，把整个山头树林子都染白了，很漂亮。

发帖数: 1058 | 50 我在Mountain Washington看了无数，最后有两个都差点买了，觉得Mountain
Washington很好。看房的时候很多都能见到以前房客，都很decent。我认识好几个ucla
的professor也住这。而且Mountain Washington elementary是10分，我们老中特别在
意的学区也没问题。
110另外一边的montecito heights也是同样，很多有view的房子不过半million. 再往
北一点是我们hermon, 一个很小的区，紧挨着south pasadena，非常好。highland
park北边（york往北）的garvanza还有eagle rock都不错。
问题是底下平地的cypress park，highland park以前是avenue gang的大本营，基本在
drew street附近，离开那一带就没问题了，现在好像也好多了，沿着河边整了个state
park. 我整天牵着我们家狗山上山下跑，从来没遇到过坏人。 |
