我在Univeristy of Connecticut医学院做博士后，最近有个美国学生不知道哪儿联系
来几个从印度来的西藏喇嘛，关于这事学校给大家发了broadcast email，说在学校的
饭堂划出块地方来请他们表演Sand Mandala，就是用彩色沙子在一块方板上绘出图案。
邮件里说的是艺术活动，可是我们在现场看到摆置着几种供人拿取的传单，其中一个通
篇是夸张的诋毁抹黑中国的内容，我们一个同学当时义愤填膺，收走所有的传单，在一
个喇嘛赶到之前丢在食堂的垃圾桶里去了。回来后我们向学校相关机构反应，说他们不
能借用学校的设施来供他们以艺术活动的名义做他们的政治宣传，抹黑中国，刺激中国
人。学校有关负责人回信说暂时移除他们的宣传物，同时咨询学校的Assistant
Attorney General来评估他们的宣传品是否合法。
今天早上学校的相关负责人约谈了我们那个同学，我也参加了。她说做个折中，除了那
份严重偏向的传单他们不许摆设外，其他的是所谓介绍西藏寺庙和宗教的材料，学校觉
得是言论自由范畴，可以摆出。我们指出其他材料里夹杂了不少反中言论，还有他们贩
卖的衣物里面有西藏 |

经常看就会觉得人心不古，防人之心不可无，生命非常脆

电视报本市某个大学拿了笔捐款，那么大学周围的"Asso of
*** Univeristy Neighbors"之类的组织就会万分警惕，该
校是否要大兴土木。*** U要是有个什么
施工方案，这个组织不点头，是绝无可能开工的。
政府为了倡导公交扩建地铁，要是沿线的居民反对，工程肯
定要被拖延，直到双方的妥协达成。
反正美国人觉得身边该发愁的琐事够多了，没太多精力去管
别的，新闻里世界大事都放后头。至于国家领导人，各种
娱乐节目也是争相取消挖苦，夸大洋相，让人觉得谁都可以
去当个政客糊弄老百姓。
中国的新闻主要报道国家的某项成就又受到了外国（人）的
赞誉，国家和省市级别的某项建设又取得了重大成就，是1949
年是的＊＊＊＊倍，人民生活水平不断提高，各级领导如何
采取措施解决人民生活中的各种问题，各行业如何提高业务
和服务态度，还动不动就举行“向人民承诺＊＊＊＊”之类
的，可实际上商店里连退个假货都基 |

They asked me why I am interesting in their small university (seems they are
not confident about me going there, hehe). I told them I want a combination
of teaching and research.
They told me that teachers there have to teach 3 courses a semester and ask

首先更本没有ph.d.学生能给你。也没有供研究用的实验室。只有本科教学用的实验室
。当然也没有钱去支持你搞研究。老实说，你也不可能申请到什么大项目。
给funding的人不傻，知道你的研究环境。
第二，工资很低，不是一般得低。大概相当于工业届fresh M.S. entry level 毕业的
工资水平。CSU好多在大城市的老师都买不起房子。
