1. Since you already got the admission and you are currently in the U.S,
just go and visit these two schools. Before the visit, email the admission
coordinator to set up an appointment to talk with her/him or a professor and
ask questions like job placement.
2. Location. Location is more important than any other factors. In terms of
location, UIC is better.

Hope my experience would be helpful to you. I took two courses when staying
in chem, so I got tuition waiver for those. After I formally transferred to
Stat, I had to search around the university for assistantship. Unfortunately
I had to pay tuition for one semester as I did not find tuition-waiver job.

好的老师不愿意来relocate（拖家带口），甚至已有老师也觉得太boring流失走了，
那些发funding的机构也集中在大城市周边，
industry也集中在大城市，industry不但能提供项目给老师研究所发钱，
而且提供了学生的就业岗位，
这种效应，在已经毕业的学生进入industry建立alum network
小城市，学生毕业后就业困难，并且在校期间的生活非常boring
....................
缺少funding，缺少好老师，缺少好学生，学校不就是靠这三样么？
啰嗦了太多，一句话：“规模优势”
很多人说：“location偏，好歹房价便宜啊”
这是典型的屌丝思想，
大学这种东西，绝对是winner takes all，只能往上走，逆水行舟，不进则退。
学校的tuition实际上非常非常贵，
那么一点房价，在庞大的funding/tuition面前根本不算什么。 |

other people's kids' college tuition, when it is time for our kids, there
is no help.
This is effectively huge tax increase when the tuition is increased by 100%!
