目前打算转clinical research 方向。还没有任何clinical trial方面的经验。网上投
过 “clinical scientist" 的工作，都无果。这些工作都要有clinical research
experience，我没有。
现有个intern机会做analyst_clinical trial.请问这个工作前景如何？具体需要做哪
些准备?

发帖数: 459 | 3 这个新东西还是挺多的。很多常年做clinical trial的可能来回来去都是类似的东西，
但是面试新职位一般人家还是要求你对当前最流行的东西有一定的掌握的。有些做起来
没那么难，但是起码理论上要了解，还要对和fda打交道的文化有一定认识。
我也没有做过专门clinical trial的工作，但是能想到最基本的几个有：
实验设计，这个有时候不是那么简单的，有一定observational study的经验也会有帮
助。还有能达到节约资源，事半功倍的实验设计，现在也很重视。
power analysis，这个也不是总那么简单的。复杂一些的情况，简单的software不一定
能直接做，复杂的software又贵，很多特殊情况也不能用software去one size fits
all. 用data simulation来做power analysis是经常需要的。
adaptive design， 这个在有些clinical trial领域大热，而且大势所趋是以后越来越
多领域用。这个既要懂理论又要有经验，没经验的情况下，理论知道一点是必须的。

华人需要trial lawyer和自己的legal defense fund，就是能上厅交锋的，也必须有资
金支持。可惜大多数法学院毕业的华人最后还是选择公司法，因为语言能力，这个
trial lawyer的培养，需要几代人。
美国黑人为了自己权利，打了无数官司，从1920年到1970年代，官司无数，很多打到最
高法庭，然后赢了后，再打官司，为了法律执行。
就一个Brown v. Board of Education 的案子，最高法院赢了后，说是不允许不同种族
不同学校分开教育，可是各个学区不干。然后又到全美数百个学区打官司，强迫那些学
区执行，一直到所有学区不许种族分开教育，黑人花费了多少人力和财力。

你需要找个律师想办法取消trial，你如果自己同意了jury trial或许可以以没有律师
唯有，推翻掉。
如果真的有trial，即使有律师你无罪的可能性几乎为零。因为警方获得的你太太的口
供的证据比你所有能想到的要强很多。
陪审团的思维方式是怎样的呢？他们听到两个版本的故事：一个警方提供的，一个是你
提供的，他们更愿意相信警方的。为什么：因为美国人从小就知道警方是权威，要服从
，这种潜意识里的东西很难改。
另外如果他们不能确定发生了什么，他们会选择能造成伤害比较小的判断：
1.他们冤枉了你，下场是你以后有criminal record无法找到合适的工作，经济上的困
难加重婚姻矛盾导致离婚。
2.他们冤枉了你太太，你是一个非常危险的人，下场是你太太会在下一次冲突中被你严
重伤害，甚至至死。

发帖数: 27 | 32 我查了一下，发现有一些clinical trials是专门针对健康的志愿者的，大多是phase I
study，主要是看药的副作用大不大，efficacy倒在其次。好像compensation还蛮高的，
如果参加一个半个月的study，不仅包吃包住，还可以拿到4~5千刀的报酬。住的地方有电
视，台球等娱乐设施，还有游泳池，整个一疗养院！而且一般来讲那些药已经在动物身上
做过了，是比较安全的，出事（serious adverse effect）的概率大概比出车祸的概率小
。所以抛开心理暗示作用（比如觉得自己是在扮演小白鼠的角色），我觉得这东东在比较
空闲的时候是值得一做的。
我打算和附近的几家医院联系一下，看有没有那种只需每周末去一次的trial，挣点外快
，大家觉得如何？不知道外国人可不可以参加？最后给钱是给支票么？那么这笔钱需要报
税么？有没有亲身参加过clinical trial，或者有听熟人说道过，能不能交流一下？ |

then the market should be small. I think SFDA only requires 300 case
studies for a foreign approved drug to enter Chinese market. 300 patients
should be easily enrolled within a medium sized city. Why are there so many
certified trial centers in China? On top of that, many foreign companies
are setting up trial centers in china, or in collaborating with Chinese
hospitals, for example, Quantiles, Covance, etc. |

postdoc
我看了一下，有两方面我可以参与并学习。虽然还只是可能，但是还是先来问问，免得
到时候真要做决定了一下子不知道该怎么办
1.design & analyze clinical trials. 由PI A负责。这个项目本身的protocol应该已
经都设计好了，如果我去的话应该主要分析结果。A也许另外还有别的trial可以让我参
与前期设计，也许没有。我本身有一些cohort study的经验，虽然没有做过
intervention, 但是数据分析，统计什么的多少会一些。
2.clinical pk modeling，由PI B负责。这个方向我是完全没有任何概念，如果决定让
我做我还挺吃惊的，就相当于裸转了。但是如果真要做这个方向的话，不知道两年的时
间我能学到个几成呢？听B说这个方向的phd大多数四年就能出师了。真要这样，我两年
时间努努力好像也还是有可能的。但是看到前面帖子里有人提到做PK要看出身的，不知
道我这样postdoc出家的是不是也会受歧视啊。

因为比较好找工作。但是clinic trial下面有些什么方向我就不是太清楚了。
我的背景：以前生物转的生统，修了两年统计课，像survial和categorical这些光是应
用的话，感觉还挺有兴趣的，longtitudinal虽然没学过，但是也有兴趣自学一下。涉
及纯统计理论的东西会感到比较吃力。clinic trial只是自己翻了翻。不知道现在做有
些什么热点？大部分人都在干什么？有些什么方面值得注意的？现在国内学术界和业界
都什么情况，做什么方面比较好呢？

，你可以想象FDA愿意让一个subgroup analysis的statistical significance就通过一
个药品去市场流通么？
在一个trial里面有个ad hoc发现，倒是可以个重新开一个trial做一个很好的理由，
FDA或许会同意。要知道，报告一个好的protocol也很重要，没有充分的理由，从伦理
学角度出发FDA也不会顺便同意一个药厂开一个trial，即使你很任性想砸钱。。。 |

我几乎是原 告的唯一证人，在证人席上接受了5天 的考验。被告律师事务所旗下律师
300多 名，在全美各大城市有数处律师楼；且关系网巨大，同仁不少已成法官；参与主
审的有两名合 伙人，均为其麾下知识产权诉讼之大内高手，号称硅谷无出其右者；另
有4名律师，及大小跟班十数人，黑压压地几乎占了法庭的一半位子。被告证人有10人
，均为白人；包括两名被告的 专家，一名牛津大学+斯坦福大学的博 士（某公司的总
裁；计算机专家；曾为英特尔与升阳公司的顾问，号称参与过奔腾芯片与操作系统开发
）和加州伯克莱分校的经 济博士（经济学家，某研究机构的合伙人，曾参与400多起诉
讼）。双方的证据装了几十个纸箱子。最后，8人陪审团经过四天审核，判决我的侵 权
指控全部成立，而且陪审团基本没有采信被告的作证。回顾整个过程，在今天这个法治
的全球化时代，我的经历也许对国内外的人士都会有帮助。
首先，我认为，没有绝对 必要，最好是避免JURY TRIAL。 这种审判， 人的感情因素

金支持。可惜大多数法学院毕业的华人最后还是选择公司法，因为语言能力，这个
trial lawyer的培养，需要几代人。
美国黑人为了自己权利，打了无数官司，从1920年到1970年代，官司无数，很多打到最
高法庭，然后赢了后，再打官司，为了法律执行。
就一个Brown v. Board of Education 的案子，最高法院赢了后，说是不允许不同种族
不同学校分开教育，可是各个学区不干。然后又到全美数百个学区打官司，强迫那些学
区执行，一直到所有学区不许种族分开教育，黑人花费了多少人力和财力。
这个Brown v. Board of Education的案子，如果黑人不打赢，现在bbs版上的，或者自
己的小孩，肯定会有一些人不能去附近的白人学区或者大学读书，没有统一的最高法院
判决，必然就会让地方自己决定，南方州和内陆州是绝对不会让华裔去那里和白人一起
读书的。 Forrest Gump电影里面就有Brown vs. Board of Education后的这一幕。
