有问题。
问题在于，播放某些文件（大多数的电影），群晖的cpu占用率非常高，95%+，ipad上
虽然流畅，但是感觉比较模糊。有些视频就没这个问题，ipad上很清晰，群辉上的cpu
占用率也很低，10%左右。
文件都是1080p的，群晖是G530的CPU。
这是黑群的问题吗？是不是缺了点什么东西？驱动？codec？
我装了一个第三方的dts包，否则没法放dts的片子，我大部分片子都是dts的
同样的片子用plex就很清晰，cpu占用率也不太高，这是为什么？

The other difference is robocopy vs FTP, robocopy could be slower than testing as ftp server
EX490 comes with celeron, I have upgraded to C2D first and then QuadCore, no
obvious copy/paste performance difference on those three CPUs. I bet
Celeron and 2GB memory is good enough for NAS.

解码（hardware transcoding）的功能。里面分什么group1，group2的，详细如下：

比如216play的解码能力属于group1 type1，可以transcode video up to 1080p. 215j
属于group2，没有transcoding能力。
看了以后还是不太理解这个硬件解码的意义。如果下载视频全部是720p或1080p的mkv/
mp4格式，那么我在手机，平板、pc、或者通过前面三个设备投影到电视上播放这个视
频，在215j或者216play上的具体区别是什么？或者换句话说，play版transcoding功能
的benefit体现在哪里？
ps：在3T，4T，6T 3.5寸的NAS硬盘上，Seagate和WD哪个比较好？

ibooks和stanza都可以用itunes同步, 传输少量数据不是问题,问题是处理大量数据的
时候掉链子. stanza的同步方法是从机器考到ipad的一个存储的空间, 然后stanza再从
这空间上download, 明显这暂存空间有大小限制, 一次放多了itunes就会出错. 而且好
象出错了就会永远占ipad空间. 发现这个之后我竟然发现没有办法快速删除已经放上去
的...只能从UI里面一个一个的删, 简直是傻到家了.
然后实验ibooks, WK在itunes里面竟然没有办法create collection!只能每次传一类的
书然后在ibooks里面手工添加, 大约搞了4500+本之后就再也写不进去了, itunes直接
说写ipad出错然后罢工. 已经写进去的在itunes里面占大约1.8GB,在ipad上有5G+...
在ipad上运行个unzip能死人啊? 非要全部展开? 用kindle哪里有这么麻烦, 直接当个
USB盘往上拷就完了, 3GB的内存能放15000本(装多看用rar), 比ipad轻而且电池坚持时
间长.

总结下这两天的讨论. 我的观点和下一步方案如下:
我的211J虽然配置低, 但是是个非常非常好的文件服务器. 什么协议都有. 还有什么
自带DNS, CLOUD, TIME BACKUP FILE STATION等花样. 设置也简单. 远程读取很流畅.
作为SYNO的古董型号, 211J才199, 无压力.
如果就是弄RAW DATA, 足够了. 但是, 用NAS是要享用媒体的, 生活不能只是RAW DATA.
做多媒体服务器, MP3和照片还将就. DS AUDIO和DS PHOTO虽然不完美, 但是习惯后
可以容忍. 但是碰上高清无码上GB的爱情动作片, 在内网还感觉不出来, 无非当作RAW
DATA搬到客户端解码. 这个事情, IOS和安猪都可以. 安猪其实还更好些, 能处理的
CODEC多点. 如果外网, 就要悲剧了.
当然有同协说LTE上十几兆的下载能力, 够了. 但是不是哪里都有这个的. 而且, 我们

发帖数: 4295 | 22 我的ps3 media player是在ubuntu上，还没有碰到不能播的。就是有些中文字幕不太好
，不过这一点我不太care。
家里的电脑都是老一些的，没有hdmi输出，但transcode速度还可以。而且很多1080p或
者720p的片源，都是直接streaming的，不需要transcode.播放起来的负荷反而比rmvb
要小一些。
另外一个好处就是所有的资源都在服务器上，ps3都可以随便播放。有时候无聊的时候
随便找个老片子看也很方便。
我觉得有不少人的情况可能跟我差不多:电脑都是3，4年前的，没有hdmi，但还能凑活
当个media server。这样拿ps3搞streaming的也是很不错的。也算尽量利用现有资源啦。 |

HDMI显示卡就可以播720p。我现在资源也都在老电脑上面，不过是用别的计算机播，完

从科普本问开始吧：
所谓DLNAServer的Transcode，是不是相当于做了一部分放video的解码工作，
然后较之于直接送到HDMI放给TV，
it把transcode过的数据流(视频信号?还是别的神马格式)pass给那边等待的DLNAClient
,再由这个client的连接放给TV？
这个过程好像不一定需要DLNAServer有显卡吧？否则让DLNAServer直接放给电视不就得
了？这个协议的意义到底在哪里呢？ |

这个协议的目的就是streaming啊。
transcode应该说是附加功能。并不属于dlna的。
dlna包括好些功能，包括发现，streaming，控制等。具体的你可以去看wiki
但dlna规定里面，支持的视频编码很少。最基本的就是mpeg2video+ac3audio。所以如
果遇到不支持的，就需要transcode了，而且一般实时转码，对服务器要求比较高。

Plex Server是装在Win8.1 Pro的HP Dc5800(E8400 dual core)上。配置很简单,3M
720P。
家里网络是有线的，10/100/1000。其中1G的接在Plex Server上，至少也是100M的网速。
周末改了改plex的设置，把Transcoding turn off，用了direct play。direct play时
速度很快，可是没有声音。只好把设置改回Transcoding ON。但是速度不行，老是缓冲。
E8400 dual core的PassMark score是>2000。按理说应当够了。可能是HP机器的问题。 |

to be taken on encoding, or do a transcoding.
VLC or Mplayer/gmplayer is as good as you can get.
