康州的悲剧再次引发控枪辩论。 问题集中于谁应对类似悲剧负责。
禁枪派提出废止让人拥有枪的法律会杜绝或大大减少类似事件。拥枪派提出禁枪会让坏
人有更多机会威胁好人的生命。两派都有相当强的论据支持。 但看似在中国人圈子里
禁枪派占多数。从我接触的有限的一些人群样本来看相当多中国人视枪如洪水猛兽。

世界上大多国家对个人拥有自动武器都是严格控制的， 包括美国。但对半自动武器及

1994年Gun Free Schools Act 通过，同时联邦政府迫使各州也通过了类似法律之后，
在全国范围内，任何公立中小学内携枪都属于federal felony, 同时校园屠杀案却如雨
后春笋一
般不断增加。从94年至今至今已发生14起，每两年一起。

不但准确，而且传神。
我思考了良久，也没有找到‘竟不敢光明正大地来？’的合适译法。而John Kennedy的
翻译，把肘子原文的犀利语气完全保留下来了。
再看后来肘子二评浮萍的英文翻译，虽然准确，力道却有不少损失。当然，比我翻译的
好，
肘子自己也未必能翻译得更好。
