I decrease the modulus of the element to a very small value when the damage
occur at that element. For instance, when matrix fails, I take E2=0, G23=0.
If fiber breaks, E1=0, G12=0, G13=0....
As I know, it seems your interest is on the micro scale analysis of the
composite (not macro :-) ), Crack analysis of composite is very complicated.
Take cross-ply composite for example, the crack may happens in the

way you want, such as you want fatigue or creep model. The constitutive
material model has already handled your problem. I don't understand why you
need damage tolerance.
About crack growth, damage size increase, delamination area, it all depends
how to define them in your model. Say damage parameter (0-1) for crack
growth, you can visualize it in any CAE software after running simulation.

首先声明，我不是什么脊柱方面的专家，本贴只是基于我自己对运动的了解，以及这几
年陆陆续续读的关于脊柱方面的医书的理解。 不同意地不要跟我说 “你以为你是谁呀
？“， 认为有道理的赏几个包子吧。
原理：
脊柱所承受的压力（load）应该是U型的， load太高或load 太低（比如老是躺着，坐
着）都会引起脊柱不适。脊柱的伤痛主要是由load超出tolerance引起的。有三种情况
会引起tolerance降低：第一种，一次超重的load, 比如直接撞到脊柱，会使tolerance
急剧降低。第二种，多次超过sub-tolerance, 比如从地上拿起一包打印纸，姿势不对
引起轻微不适。第三种，长期坐，卧对脊柱造成的静态的stress，也会造成tolerance
降低。
Flex spine是脊柱健康的大敌。脊柱在neutral的情况下，压力由core muscles 承受，
脊柱本身是被core保护的。而在flex 的情况下，压力会转到ligament和 关节上。而且
，flex spine 本身也会使nuclear向外压迫外膜， 长期会造成间盘突出。

我自三岁患上慢性关节炎，带来的问题之一是所有需要手指小关节灵活性的活儿我都做
不好，例如写字、针线活等。几十岁的人，写出的字比小学生的还难看。不要说间架结
构，就连基本的横平竖直都做不到。小时候语文考试的作文，我常常因为字迹不工整失
分。如果按照“字如其人”的标准，或者让笔迹学家依我的笔迹分析性格，我恐怕就一
无是处了。幸好电脑时代让我轻松不少，基本不用手写字了，大多时候只需要签名时动
下手。即便是小小的签名，对我也是不小的困扰。就算是签购物单据这件小事，我也能
明显感觉到，签名时内心的虚弱和自卑，虽然还不能上升到签名恐惧症的程度，但也去
之不远。我自己很相信字如其人的古训，正因为如此，我才深怕别人用同样的标准来衡
量我，特别是当彼此并不熟悉，不能客观全面地认识一个人的时候。我希望能解决问题
，但首先需要清楚地面对问题。发帖在这里，是想请大家分析一下我问题的症结所在，

Tolerance最重要的不是对肤色的tolerance，而是对opinion的tolerance。就像
diversity一样，最重要的不是肤色的diversity，性别的diversity，而是opinion的
diversity，thoughts的diversity。老美立国的时候，全都是白男，但是各种opinion
