official data published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

professor in 2008 is Terence Tao (380K), a Fields medalist and well
recognized world-class mathematician. But his pay is well below some of
assist prof in medical school. famous guys like Longstaff (finance), Kydland
(economics, nobel laureate) are also in the relative lower end of that list. |

3。Reputation. 就是同行的对你工作的respect,这和top school&top advisor不是没
有一点关系，但不大。

阶段，真正的好工作是拿着高薪又有大把空闲时间的。不晓得有多少人会enjoy那种有

先报报我公司的吧：新进员工有3星期的假外加一星期的病假，此外还有一星期的个人
事假和一个星期的圣诞假，再加大约7天的公共假期，总共加起来差不多有7周的假期，
每工作5年后再多一星期假。所以一到summer特别是8月，基本都看不到什么人，都去加
勒比或回中国度假去了。。。
