04年的toyota celica, 开的时候在不平的路上有点声音.问题不是太大,但考虑到之前
被别人小撞了一下刚修了body,所以为了放心起见送到dealer那里去做了个检查(请大家
不要拍我有钱没地方花了,感觉那里的检查应该全面一些).
检查回来说人家body修的还不错(appears to be done well),我的车有些别的跟被撞了
不相关的问题:
1. Timing chain tensioner slight oil leak.
2. Drive belt squeeking
3. L/Front strut and mount, and both front end links.
其他的都没啥问题.

发帖数: 21830 | 2 这么说吧，timing belt是齿轮带，跟空调发电机上的V型的serpentine belt不一样，
齿轮带不存在皮带跟齿轮/滑轮间的相对滑动，所以一般没有啥noise.
如果有噪声，一般来源有2个：cam上的齿轮没装好（但一般谁换timing belt动那玩意
？)，还有就是tensioner坏了，或者没装好，这个是主要原因。有些车的tensioner需
要2个人一起装，一个人非常难装，但很多车行都是单干，所以要有噪声一般就是这玩
意没弄好。
一句话，送车行，打开timing cover让人查查，这个很容易，5分钟而已。 |

找个靠谱的local mechanic,工大概300-500,料的话看你想不想大搞了.正常就是TB+
tensioner+water pump,一般多数人在搞这个的时候会同时把外面的几个皮带都换掉,连
带侧面的engine mount,因为反正都要拆.另外因为要放冷却液,很多人会同时把
thermostat换掉同时把冷却系统flush一下,同时检查下有没有水管老化需要更换的.如
果全做的话料大概$300-400的样子,如果只做TB+Tensioner+water pump的话料也就$150

local的一个修车铺问了下，说只换timing belt $400。但是推荐把water pump和什么
几个tensioner一起换掉，$900，说不然那个tensioner不转了，也会把新的timing
belt弄断。不知道这个是不是合理，还是只换timing belt就可以了？谢谢了。 |

6个月前去Fire Stone做tire rotation, 他们做号称免费的检查，说我的steering
belt磨损已经很厉害，该换了。后来再到Carx换油，他们也说steering belt(他们书面
上说是serpentine belt)该换，否则早晚会断掉，而且换的话还得连同那个tensioner
pulley一起换，因为那个滑轮也有磨损，那么就不修，修的话就要整体修好。劳务连同
备件要收$120多。
今天找一个我认识的老黑修车工帮忙换掉那个steering belt。结果发现除了timing
belt,我的车有三条belt,分别驱动AC，alternator和steering pump。那个steering
belt拆出来没看到表面有crack,而且这个belt根本就没有tensioner pulley这个东西。
最后为平安起见，belt还是换了，买新belt花了$12, 人工花了$30。
难道大牌修车店都这样坑人吗？而且坑得异口同声。Carx还公开宣称不会lie和故意误
导顾客消费的。 |

tensioner 可以考虑一起换，这种一般是 labor 贵， part 便宜，反正都做了，不如
把 tensioner 也换，就是多花 part 的钱。 |

can find from local store is Mobil 1 synthetic 0W-40.
2. It seems German are not good at making the rubber or plastic parts last

你一句放在service position就过去了?你说放service position要多少小时?
你如果不知道我告诉你,VW的service manual上说是3.75小时
放到service position后,还要拆皮带,拆tensioner,拆了tensioner,才能把发电机
给拆了,拆了发电机,你才有机会看到starter.
现在你看到starter了,你还拆不了,因为固定螺栓在后面,妈的,你还得拆轮胎,拆了
轮胎还得把挡泥板拆了,这样才能勉强把手伸进去拧螺栓.
你说没5个小时,你能收拾完?别搞笑了,这starter连labor parts起码1k刀
对比下camry,拆个starter也就15分钟时间吧? |

响声的问题，不是CV boot破了，不是clutch缺润滑，也不是axle有裂痕，而是
tensioner固定处的一个橡胶垫没了，车辆加速时导致铁铁摩擦，出现声音。
结果让换个tensioner，$212;有让换belt，花47，labor$50，这就干掉300多。又说夏
天到了，亚利桑那气候热，要换散热器（radiator），器件加labor干掉200多。
当时主要是等了两三个小时，心想，到别的店里去还得等吧，所以就答应了维修报价…
…现在过后真它妈后悔！那旧belt其实挺新的，而且旧的radiator用起来根本没问题，
前段时间高速上连跑10多小时都没事…… |

一下。需要注意的是driving belt，这个很容易换。冬天特别是降温时有check engine

4：30动手修，必须得修哪，不然第二天上班没车开。
5. 松开固定water pump pulley的那四个nuts，不要完全拆下，因为后面空间出来更好拆
5. 拆掉tension pulley
6. 拆掉固定tensionpulley的那个东西
7. 拆掉固定ac的那根棍子
8. 拿下water pump pulley
9. 松开water pump 12个 nuts，拿下water pump
10 去厨房那个水果刀，刮下residual water pump gasket
11. 撅着屁股用水果刀刮下water pump mountain 上的residua gasket
12．抹上silicon sealant，那个sealant说24h cure，没关系，吊丝我学这个的，知道

你的"分开做/ 一起做" 的说法在现实买卖中是不存在的.
一般卖SERVICE ,自己有计算时间的方法, 例如换BELT, 要多长时间, 换TENSIONER 要
多长时间.不会因为你一起做给你减时间.
卖SERVICE的方面, 卖给你的都是单算
BELT:PART 和LABOR.
TENSIONER:PART 和LABOR
即使加一起,也不回减时间,他做的时候省了力气, 他赚更多. |

从最开始的换灯泡开始，一路自己买工具，看教程，捉摸修，感觉很多设计还是为后期
的维护考虑的，只不过很多需要专用工具，Bolt Torque自己到TIS上查。换过Valve
Cover Gasket, CCV, Spark Plugs, Tensioner, Idler Pulley, V-Belt, A/C Belt,
Window Regulators (2X), Crankcase Positioning Sensor, Brake Pads & Rotors (
4X), Lower&Thrust Control Arms, Drive Axle, Struts & Shock Absorbers, HID
Conversion (w/ Projector).
暂时能想起来的就这么多。其他的像换油之类的就不赘述了，想必大家也都动手能力很
强。总体感觉一点：大毛病没有，小毛病不断。所以只要有时间，有工具，加点儿机械
常识，我感觉版上绝大多数人都可以做到这些。
