发帖数: 4 | 1 我是去年刚来的F1 fellowship student. 不能申请SSN,只能申请ITIN.但是我第一次的
申请被拒了,原因有二.一是表格没填对,我忘记填treaty country or article了,真是
傻.二是没有提供相应的supporting material.
我仔细察看了W7的instruction,发现我的category, exception 2(b)要求提供W-8BEN表
.我去学校的human resource问了,说这个表只能由GLACIER产生.但是因为我没有SSN或
ITIN,这个表就不会产生.这样太tricky了.我怎么可能提供这个表呢?
所以想请问申请过ITIN的版友到底需不需要提供这个W-8BEN表.
另外,除W7以外,我还会提供notorized passport, visa; 学校的supporting letter(证
明我是fellowship);offer letter复印件;I20复印件.大家帮忙看看材料是不是全了?还
差哪些? 希望这次不会再出错了.

support搞不好就会变成developer和customer之间的传话工具
做QA的话最好做automation那种，要编程和会用很多tools的，只写test case和

早上8点多一点去的，里面的人还不少，不过可以看到虽然门口登记的相对比较慢，打
指纹那边的效率很高，因为那边的工作人员都站在那里等的。其实是抱着试试看的心理
去的，因为预约的时间有travel plan。给门口的工作人员看了指纹信，她说你的预约
时间不是今天，我说我们那个时间正好有travel plan，她说那你去那边等一下，但是
不保证什么时候可以给你打。我们就去边上等了，大概等了40多分钟，好像9点半还有
人预约，后面就没人进来了，然后那个工作人员就挥手让我们过去，给我们办理了。填
表，打指纹，照相很快，工作人员态度很好，指纹是左手四个手指，然后左手大拇指，

如果没有official的offer letter，那么老板的supporting letter是必须的；我就是
在正式的offer letter还没下来之前申请中方waiver的，用的就是老板的支持信和决定

CV，说可以提供模板。然后都是他们refer给相关人给我写信，一般都是publisher，那
些人说不能用我的模板（这个我可以理解），但是写来的信怎么都这么差呢？感觉只是
证明了我帮他们审了稿而已，可这个我不需要他们证明，我已经有证据了。

的那位。 一般杂志中打杂的associate editor或者执行编辑（英文名一下忘了^_^）会
帮助你写，他们掌握reviewer名单和相关数据库，可以和他们要support letter。
我的case就是这样，找RSC，给几个审过的杂志的editor都写了信，最后居然都落到一
个执行编辑手里了，因为看几封回信都是一个人，最后他就给了我一封letter，还好这
位比较nice，挑了审过杂志中IF最高的恰好也是审过数量最多的，以那个杂志的名义写
的support letter。更有意思的，他还附上了审过杂志的数量比我记录的还多，后来我
想可能是有些稿子投了又改，他就都算是次数了。哦，神奇的RSC。

我就想问像这种情况，还要再单独让他们各写一封对审稿的support letter吗？
还有一个就是我发过文章，或者review过的5种不同的杂志（4个是本领域的前20，
google scholar的排名），这5个杂志的editorial board里面，20%的人要么和我发过
文章，要么是引用过我的文章，要么我review过他们的文章，要么问过我的方法去和他
们的方法比较，这样的东西，能吹一下吗？
