记得最早看的登山纪实片是《Touching the Void》（2003），一人摔断腿、伙伴救援
无力、割断连接两人的安全绳，引发劈头盖脑的争议。第二个片子是国内的《巅峰记忆
》（2011），2002年北大山鹰社五名队员与希夏邦马峰永恒，八年后经历山难的女队友
再次攀登，与故人往事和解。重读当时写的观后感，依然难以平静，“或许与自然最亲
密的人，真的能感受到灵魂、神明的存在”。
昨晚连续看了两遍《The Summit》（2012），因为人名多，第一遍没搞清楚谁是谁。海
拔8611米的乔戈里峰是世界第二高峰，位于巴基斯坦和中国新疆塔什库尔干塔吉克自治
县境内。攀登难度高于珠峰，阵亡率达1/4。从巴基斯坦一侧上山者多。2008年8月1日
，终于等到好天气的几支登山队同时冲顶，上山失去两人，下山失去八人，援救再失一

5am: 起床，洗漱，吃饭, 打包，喂狗，装车。
5:45am: 启程。5分钟后上91号，55英里高速耗时约45分钟。近7点左右上CA-330进入山区。山路崎岖，车多路窄，阳光刺眼，几个转弯处有结冰，出现一次小侧滑（前驱coupe，普通胎，无雪链）。7点半左右已有大量滑雪者在路边加油站补给。加油站厕所有数人排队。
8am: 到达Snow Summit Blvd，停车场挂“已满”牌子，向管理小工挥动10美元钞票寻求帮助，未果。左转停在Brownie Parking, 乘坐疑似印度进口的四面透风站立式shuttle bus来到位于山脚下的base。发现有$20的VIP parking未满，但觉得shuttle也很方便。
8:15am: 排队买lift ticket和rental，day lift ticket $66, ski and boots rental $30, damage waiver $2. 与Mammoth相比价低20%左右。 |

Very close to NJ transit Summit train station (3 min walking). Express train
will take only approximately 30 min to New York Penn Station.
Also very close to library and downtown. Good school district. Very
convenient.
The rent is $1825, including all utility except electricity. The apartment
has washer and dryer too.

Height. A very nice and professional person, and very familiar with Summit,
Short hill, Berkley Height areas. He will show you the house plus the
neighborhood carefully. The downside is if you follow him to see houses, on
average, you will not be able to see more than 4 properties every day, since he
always shows you around the neighborhood of every house.

了，可以不考虑，反正是负值。commute这两个地方根本不是一个数量级别的。
summit就是因为commute方便，学区还很好，所以房子死贵，还破，地税也高。commute
光parking就1000/year。 |

大不了去 CITY 确认一下。
中学和高中就只有一个了。
当然那片“烂区”从治安等来说也没有特别烂，就是老墨比例很高（30-35% 的样子）
。而老墨对孩子教育的不重视是出了名的，可能认为读个高中都浪费。老墨们盘踞在那
真糟蹋了一块好地。
那片房子也比较便宜。买的时候便宜，卖的时候也别指望能卖高价。
SUMMIT 进城的交通便利在周围这些 TOWN 里应该是无争议的排第一。 |

door大概早上60分钟，下午55分钟，时间上赶得巧的话可以再少5分钟左右，但是很难
再少了。我自己开车的话再多三四分钟。如果是从火车站走路到公司，再多七八分钟。
早上
进城的火车经常晚点。要坐火车到城里，再方便也方便不到哪里去。
不考虑进城交通因素，新泽西比summit更好的区还是不少，但是应该没有通勤更方便的
了。
millburn在通勤上也许总体差不多。如果家里没有人在新泽西上班，长岛的Great Neck
无论从哪方面都比Summit好，总体上也应该比Millburn好。 |

经查，Summit Central 有两个 carpet，lower carpet 与 upper carpet，但没有所谓
的 “surface tow"，你这个名词是哪里看到的？我所看过所有的 tow，不管是手抓的
还是放屁股底下的，都不会在地面上；而在地面上的只有像输送带的 carpet。
我相信你说的那东西应该就是 magic carpet，站上去就好了。
（Summit West 有一个 tow，叫做 rope tow，是用手抓的那种。But like I said, it
hasn't been open for years.） |

凌晨2点半起床，3点早饭。天出奇的好，月朗星稀，这条路上走了这么多天，就数今天的天气最好，真是好运气。对面Raura山脉和前面Puscanturpa、Cuyoc等一众雪山在这清朗的夜色里显得格外清晰。早饭除了热水就只有干面包了，还是很感谢厨子半夜三更的爬起来烧水。骡子司机晚上就睡在餐厅帐篷里，这时还没起床。虽然没有睡袋等现代化产品，但有好几层厚厚的秘鲁手工织毯盖，估计也不冷了。我想生活在这里高原上的牧民一年四季应该也都是这样过夜的。在包里装了点心和一个额外的鸡肉奶酪三明治，就戴着头灯从4600米的营地出发了。因为想着速度不会太快，穿着羽绒服走的，一点也不觉得冷。
刚开始的一小段路有trail，之后就是在草地上直接往上走。这段路虽然没有trail了，但路本身还算solid，走起来并不... 阅读全帖 |

凌晨2点半起床，3点早饭。依旧是明朗的月、璀璨的星，我们的运气真好，两个climb
都碰上了这样的好天。早饭仍然只有干面包加热水，吃过饭、装了两个三明治在包里就
乘着夜色出发了。虽然站在帐篷外并不觉得冷，但按照上次的经验，我没有脱羽绒服。
高原上走不快，日出之前慢慢走是不至于出汗的。刚开始是比较平缓的trail，zig-zag
的爬坡。上到5000米垭口之前的最后一段路是在moraine的碎石堆上直接往上爬。还在
碎石堆下面的时候，就看到山脊的高度有两盏头灯晃来晃去，到近处才看到就是昨天碰
到的那个南非gg和他的Partner，估计是在黑暗里又没有现成的路，找不到翻过山脊的
垭口。垭口之后，是一段贴着山脊的向右traverse的路，基本有trail可以follow。
