is more important? Of course, it is step score.
Some people are smarter and can do a wonderful job in a short time (less
than 1 year). But for the majority, it still takes a longer time to get a
decent score (maybe 1 year or longer). It is suicidal to take steps in a
rush. It will ruin you big time just to beat the deadline. With bad scores,
no one wants to help you at all because you are not competitive initially.

发帖数: 253 | 8 经过近两个月的漫长等待，终于收到成绩表。回想准备STEP 3的经历，开始的时候踌躇
壮志希望借着CK的干劲再下一城，但是越是看书做题越是感觉到这考试的难,总算是熬
过来了。回顾我的复习时间表：
12月：过了一遍UW的OFFLINE 版本。
1月：做了第一遍CCS。每个题都做了笔记，但是就没有总结自己的PROTOCOL
2月：做了第二遍的UW，这次是做ONLINE的题。还跟朋友一起过了一遍MTB3
3月：把UW里的错题再看了一遍，然后又过了一遍CCS。
3月30号就奔考场了。由于复活节假期，两天考试中间还有两天休息，刚好又把CCS的题
做了一遍。
一些体会/经验总结：
1． Step3 的时间紧迫大家都有提过。提高阅读速度应该从CK准备的时候就训练，
不过我不提倡先看最后一句问题再从题干找信息的方法。因为题目信息量大，这样跳来
跳去不见得会提高速度，还容易遗漏。说是容易，但我觉得最重要的是要有心理准备时
间会很紧。不要存侥幸心理我练多了就会好。一定要想好万一发现时间不够了自己会怎
么应对：是跳过耗时费力的广告题；还是最后几题随便选；还是定好做每一题可用的时

what you need to do:
1. get better scores on the rest of steps, even step 3 before match. PD like
to see you are improving.
2. Do not fail CS
3. do more externship and find very strong letters
4. come to here and support ACAP.
you have a lot of room to fix your problem. Actually to me, it is not a
problem at all. |

years.
Do better for the step 2&3. Get stronge LORs. Do more OB or externship.
Improve your oral English.
If you could find connections, it will help a lot!
Step 1 is the most difficult one, however, a score like that is not like the
end of world. If you really determined to continue, try everything to
improve your package. They are a lot of great experience on this forum.
Spend sometime to read it.

school, it is good for 5 years. You can apply for USMLE tests as many as you
are allowed without going through the registration process again. Once you
start taking Step 1, you have a 7-year window to finish the other parts.
In your case, if I'am right, pay another 700+ bucks will be the only thing
you need to do to schedule another Step 1. |

highly likely you will get 210 or below. It is a very bad score for old CMG
unless you have connections.
You are very likely to postpone your exam. Try it for another 8-9 mos to get
a decent score at least 230. GL.
If you do not devote during step 1, you will feel very regretful during step
2 or 3 since you have to memorize the same stuff again.

我查到网上step 1 application process status为“waiting for verification of
status from your medical school" 后，历经周折联系到了学校的外事办，然后请他
们及时查询有无ECFMG的信息给他们。原来只要学校加入了电子认证系统，可以直接在
网上完成首次认证。所以这一步进行得很顺利。学校完成认证之后，OASIS上我的step
1 process status 数小时内立即更新为”accepted“。然后ECFMG也发来电子邮件表示
一周之内NBME会发送电子邮件告知permit，然后就可以选择考试时间了。

1. 主要通过Skype and Join.me网络学习， 要求认真准备Powerpoint presentation.

学习内容：
1。 以FA为经；
2。 以Goljan Patho 为维；
3。 以 Kaplan Q Bank, Uw, NBME 为媒；
4。 以踏实掌握，融会贯通Step one 要求各项医学基础科学为实。

我见过一个AMG，top 15医学院毕业的，step 1没过，人灰常灰常好，其他各方面都不
错，最后也只卖到一个社区医院的内科。

The biggest mistake I made for step 1 preparation is underestimate the
difficulty of this exam. I have a couple of friends got round 260. Plus I
did step 2 first. It says people can have a decent score (i.e. 240) within 6

帮助我的人，我的总结如下。
1st attempt: CS fail in the CIS component.
2nd attempt 1 month later: all three areas are high performance 星星 在最右
边.
总结：
1)关于准备考试。Step 2 CS first aid book足够。Mini cases 锻炼 developing
ddx, full-length cases 锻炼问问题，随机应变，和记忆的能力。Full-time的话一
个月足够。
2)关于补习班，还是很有必要的。补习班我上了两个，usmle gold review –new
York 和 Ximedus- Florida. 两个各有千秋。 Ximedus 组织更好，更偏重于
communication 和 interpersonal skills 的训练，也是外国学生最欠缺的。前提是对
一般的病例要比较熟悉。 USMLE Gold纽约感觉乱哄哄的，但是更擅长对病例的总结，

过7个月的时间. (Q-bank expires till Feb-06-2017, CCS expires till Feb-16-
2017). Self-Assessment form 一直都没有激活. 当初买了一年的时间，今天知道
step 3已经pass了，所以题库不需要了. 题库转让后会reset清零,不影响使用....

成绩出来了，涉险挤入了９９队伍。总的来说，准备的不是很充份，详见以前贴的＂我
的step ３经历＂，主要是在吃CK的老本；其他乏善可陈，成绩单里唯一的一个星号是
给了CCS，这里就说一说CCS好了。
以前总把CCS和CS混淆，其实这两个有一个共同点就是open choices和uncertainty。在
这总场合，最重要的可能就是要有一个严格的protocol，这样可以尽量避免遗漏。考过
CS的同学都知道LIQOR AAA和PAMHUGSFOSS的重要性。CCS也一样。网上比较流行的是
Neeraj的protocol，用google一搜就能找到。非常有用。我把他的protocol稍微整理了
一下，自以为是更加简洁有条理一些。给几个朋友用了用，有的朋友觉的没有时间应用
，有的朋友用了觉的还成，让我贴出来，最后的决定是如果考出来还行就贴，要不就不
出来吓人了。
象CS一样这个protocol充满了mnemonics，开始考试之前第一件事就是把所有的

本上就是step 1了。想找小伙伴平时一起互相鼓励学习什么的。也可以分享一下学习资

我大概是会明年三月份或者七月份考，平时上完学校的课抽出几小时学学什么的。平时
