1. Time spending on Step 1: It is depends on your YOG, full-time or part-
time, many factors. You know when you are ready.
2. Study materials: Do not just count how many times you have gone
through them, should reviewed them when you need to review.
3. UW Q bank is the Golden Q bank.
4. Study in study group!
5. For mnemonic, use it at the end of the preparation.
6. 2-3 months prior test, just work on Q bank and NBME, then review books
on your weak subjects.
7. The last couple of weeks are used to solidify your knowledge.
8. When do you register for the test? Depends on your location. Some
areas are tighter than other places.
9. “Mock test”: “Do it at the test center”. So you can save time on
tutoring, know your finger-print time, familiarize all procedures ect.
10. Ask for the earliest test time of the test center, you can start the
time early and pick a better seat.
11. Mock test can help to easy your nerve very well.
12. Break time is plenty, finish my “Peking Duck Lunch Special”
casually.

14. Do not worry about how many Qs are incorrect in NBME, learn the
