而且去年Penguins离stanley cup也就是一步之遥，虽然比今年finals时候差不少，
但是有两个young super stars，5年内拿stanley cup是非常可能的，
而且他也打的不错，通过自己和队友一起努力拿下stanley cup，不是更有成就感吗
觉得red wings强，就想take free (at least easier) ride to stanley cup，
就不是一个心态好的player |

Edmonton，绝对不会了解这个城市曾经有一支王朝般的球队。北美体育权威统计中，
NHL的最近一个Dynasty就是1984-1990的Edmonton Oilers（7年5夺Stanley Cup）。当
然，我对之前的历史主要是通过wiki知道的。没有亲身经历，所以也无法讲述。但是我
亲身感受了Oilers在沉沦前的最后一丝辉煌，直到现在我都经常能回忆起来。
刚来这个城市的时候，恰好碰到一个暴喜欢冰球的邻居，此人自称老移民，据他本人讲
是84年就到这个冰天雪地的地方了，当时就赶上的Gretzky时代。长话短说，来了几天
之后Oilers从Blues换来了Chris Pronger，新闻上一播，邻居跟我聊天的时候就说今年
Oilers肯定发达了（后来我才就知道这人相当牛），然后就跟我说，一定得看冰球，跟
我说Oilers有了Pronger, 再加上Ryan Smith（其实他一直到06-07才入选过一次全明星

几年前去过一次温哥华，一直没有时间写下来。现在终于有机会，可以把一些记忆中的
片段记录下来。有趣的是提笔之后，才发现时间就像是带通滤波器，很多东西都变得模
糊起来，但有些片段会随着时间，变得更为清晰。
温哥华是加拿大西岸重镇，和美国西雅图开车只有两三个小时距离，堪称姐妹城。温哥
华夏天是个旅游的好去处，既有优美自然风光，又有“腐败”城市生活。值得一提的是
温哥华还有很多华人。上个世纪末港人大规模移民的时候，温哥华就是个重要据点，以
致去温哥华被戏称为香哥华。现在又有大量大陆移民选择这个城市定居。因为港人众多
，厨子也跟过来了，海鲜也可以就地取材，这里的粤菜很出名。
我们先飞到西雅图机场，然后租车开到温哥华。呆在加州久了，已经习惯夏天周围的荒
山秃岭，陡然看到华盛顿州高速两旁的一眼看不到边的绿树和远处雪山，顿觉心情舒畅
。从机场开了两个多小时，到达美加边界。这条边境线号称世界最长的不设防边境。牛
皮不是吹的，我们摇下车窗，递上准备好的证件，边检小伙问了两句就放行了，十分顺

不少住在美国的中国人，也许还在庆幸地想，自己的孩子，也许不用经历自己经历过的
那种严酷的大学入学考试了。错了！你的孩子将来在美国进大学会有麻烦，有时仅仅是
因为你的黄皮肤。
下面是两个故事。
Stanley Park，一个韩国移民的孩子，家庭收入菲薄。3年前，父母离婚，他跟母亲过
。但母亲很快得了乳腺癌。於是，他小小年纪，开始给人家当家庭教师，帮助母亲付房
租。尽管他用了大量时间去大工，但在大学入学的智能测验SAT中，仍得了1500的高分(
满分1600)。然而，当他申请加州大学的伯克利和洛杉矶分校(UCLA)时，全被拒绝。
Balnca Martinez，另一个移民阶层的孩子，也因母亲得了乳腺癌而要打工养家，不过
她的SAT成绩比Stanley Park低390分，即仅1100分，但却被同样的两个学校录取。

天真烂漫，整整玩了六年。
那时候小升初，北京还没有现在的“锁区”政策，我交了狗屎运，阴差阳错进了海淀区
大名鼎鼎的X大附中。
一路上，尽管自己只是学渣，但见过太多学霸和大牛。咱没吃过猪肉，还没见过猪跑么
！一所好学校，对孩子的重要影响，真的是一辈子的。

「來台2年上過的台灣女生就超過百人啦！」一對來自奈及利亞的黑人兄弟利用台灣
人不太會分黑人長相的毛病，非法居留逾10年大賺台灣人錢，兩人被捕後態度囂張，對
他們的「成就」相當自豪。警方指出，奈籍來台人士逾期居留或下落不明的人數已近
300人，合法證件掩飾非法身分的問題非常嚴重。
新北市40歲奈籍男子桑德(Sunday)14年前持商務簽證來台逾期未歸，雖然他的二手車零
件買賣生意不錯，但因非法居留身分，行動受到不少限制。
桑德見台灣人常分不出自己和其他非裔朋友，腦筋一轉，兩年前叫弟弟史丹利(Stanley

不太會分黑人長相的毛病，非法居留逾10年大賺台灣人錢，兩人被捕後態度囂張，對他
們的「成就」相當自豪。警方指出，奈籍來台人士逾期居留或下落不明的人數已近300
人，合法證件掩飾非法身分的問題非常嚴重。
新北市40歲奈籍男子桑德(Sunday)14年前持商務簽證來台逾期未歸，雖然他的二手車零
件買賣生意不錯，但因非法居留身分，行動受到不少限制。
桑德見台灣人常分不出自己和其他非裔朋友，腦筋一轉，兩年前叫弟弟史丹利(Stanley
)以投資、成立公司名義來台，他再拿弟弟的護照和簽證，用「自己的大頭照」成功申
請居留證、駕照。這對兄弟檔就這樣一起扮演「Stanley」這個角色，在台灣橫行2年，
連公務機關都曾上當受騙。
直到去年底，新北市警察局外事科、移民署機動隊才發現「Stanley」原來是兩個人。

于是我来美的处女面就华丽地献给了华尔街最quant的一个公司的最quant的一个组的一

我是个土生土长的北京孩子，小时候，在家门口读一所普通的小学，真的是无忧无虑、
天真烂漫，整整玩了六年。
那时候小升初，北京还没有现在的“锁区”政策，我交了狗屎运，阴差阳错进了海淀区
大名鼎鼎的X大附中。
一路上，尽管自己只是学渣，但见过太多学霸和大牛。咱没吃过猪肉，还没见过猪跑么
！一所好学校，对孩子的重要影响，真的是一辈子的。
