Dr. Shakil Ahmed is the Founder at Princeton Alpha Management LP (now known
as Princeton Alpha). Prior to forming Princeton Alpha, Dr. Ahmed served as
the Global Head of Market Making at Citibank N.A. and served on the
Executive Committee of the Equities Division. While at Citibank, Dr. Ahmed
also served as the Global Head of Quantitative Strategies and sat on the
management committee of Citi Alternative Investments. Previously, Dr. Ahmed
served as the Co-head of Electronic Trading and a Quant Trader at Citigroup
Inc. He served as a Managing Director and Head of Quantitative Strategies at
Citigroup Alternative Investments LLC (Citi Capital Advisors Limited).
Prior to that, Dr. Ahmed served as Senior Adviser in the institutional
securities group and served as the Head of Process Driven Trading Group at
Morgan Stanley. He started his career at Morgan Stanley, where he spent 14
years in Process Driven Trading (PDT), a group which he ran since early 1999
until he retired from day to day responsibilities in December 2006. He
served as a Senior Adviser to Morgan Stanley, until joining Citibank in
early 2008. He has been a Member of Advisory Board at Active Allocator, Inc.
since October 11, 2017. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale
University, where his thesis was on parallel processing in 1994. He also has
M.S. and M.Phil. degrees in the same field from Yale. His undergraduate
degree was in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. | S*****l
