Several days ago I received a letter from a debt collector requesting me
to make payment within 30 days. It really annoyed me. Can't they send me a
reminder or anything before using a debt collector?
In comparison, almost all other publishers have two free exam books for
faculty every year.
I know from now on I won't use Springer's textbooks in my classes if there
are other choices. |

MacMillian也差不多有这样的情况。
然后一个是Routledge，你跟他request,他也不寄。
Cambridge算是最友好的吧，每次要一本书，他能跟你寄两个copy。
Oxford也不错
Pearson
South-western
McGraw_hill都不错。
更好玩的是worth, 跟他要一本书，他能给你寄整个一个系列的书过来，
包括CD-rom, study guide,instructor's manual。
而且不是一次性寄过来，而是分成好几波。结果我每周都收到worth的package... |

都是免费，Springer竟然要书费加邮费，invoice上面显示100多刀，请问这是正常情况
吗？如果是的话，以后我打算不选Springer出的书做教材了。谢谢。 |

sanction on publishing papers in Elsevier journals a few years ago. Elsevier
also has many journals similar to Hindawi.
The next one in the list is Springer. How about Springer journals? |

wondering Elsevier and Springer are not significantly more professional than
Hindawi. I am in CS and feel that papers published on EECS journals by
Elsevier are not of high quality. Papers published on EECS journals by
Springer are of a bit higher quality than Elsevier. |

open access fee要 USD3000/EUR2200。好处如下：

Information and Computation
Springer好的journal到少一些
不过有很好的conference proceedings
不过最有名的还是CELL, THE LANCET, NEURON这都是至少和NS一个级别的 |

鼠model，完全in vitro... 照样nature science发个不停...
但是听说人相当rude and arrogant，号称想到鄙视反应慢的人，比如我老板这样的...
