第二, 我的另外一个楼里, 没有一个有SPECIAL NEED的孩子的家长回答问题. 你可不可
以回答我的问题. 现在是全加州的教育经费都减了, SPECIAL NEED没有减, 你觉得这是
很公平的吗? 你觉得很应该吗? 如果不差钱, 当然每个孩子都能得到他应该的帮助和教
育, 这个谁都没有意见. 但现在的现实就是钱不够, 你觉得是不是应该牺牲正常和
GIFTED孩子的教育来保证SPECIAL NEED的孩子? 还是说钱少的时候, 大家都牺牲一些?
我想, 你一定非常非常希望你的第二个孩子可以尽快好转. 但是等你的孩子成为正常儿

发帖数: 58 | 4 小孩今年5岁了，夏天买的房子, 在现在的学区9月初注册了。孩子阅读数学都不错，接
受些social和speech的service.现在在一个私立上K(以pre-K为主，K不是太正规).
可是问题来了，从九月初注册，到这个学区安排evaluation,（之前的学区evaluation
他们不承认），到开家长会（CSE meeting）， 到给出推荐的program花了3个多月，实
际上到现在四个月过去了问题还没有解决，孩子的还是一直在私立带着。主要问题是：
1. 学区根据评估的结果（主要是注意力不集中，不social, 有时不follow
directions），结论是孩子不适合现在他们学区的programs, 所以给推荐了别的学区的
sister school的self-contained program, 说是到2014年9月再回到现在的学区。但是
参观后发现，距离离家远很多不说，那个班的小孩是有明显的智力问题，所以我们不可
能把孩子放到那里。而且这个推荐的学区比我们的学期，教学质量明显差。还推荐了另
外一个差学区，我们也拒绝了。

是学校还是认为他qualify special education，所以让他和其他几个K的孩子一起接受
behavior方面的Special Education Program
请问一下这个对孩子以后会有什么影响吗？升学或者转学之类，是不是一直会带着这个
label？
学校老师的都赞同他进步很大，academic没有问题；过一段时间对学校适应应该会更好
。并且说1年级后可以再进行评估，他应该不会一直接收special education。但是我们
还是不太清楚究竟对孩子会不会有什么影响。请教一下版上有经验的家长说说看？谢谢

possible autism spectrum. 能认５０-１００words，能写２０-５０words。现在有
IEP。我这的学校没有专门的special class，是一个special ed老师带１-３个special
ed学生到 regular class学习。中途如果要再叫出来speech therapy, occupational
therapy。你可以问问你的学校是否提供这种service。我不担心学业，因为学习我可以
教，但我没办法教social skill。不过如果一个基本是差的老莫孩子比较麻烦

介入越好，这样没准在娃懂事之前就discharge了。你娃学校才两学生要speech
therapy. 我娃学校很多娃要speech therapy. speech therapist每天有12-14个group
therapy（不是one-on-one的）. 算下来一天差不多有20-30个娃有speech therapy. 不
过我娃学校speech therapist工资固定，不管多少娃都一个工资，可能是因为这个学校
K和1年级很多娃都在speech therapy, 都算在special ed里，越往上越少娃要speech
therapy. |

发帖数: 181 | 17 TTU-OU 的比赛从下半场才开始看，一看到比分24-7，就有一种不祥的预感啊。
这场比赛真的很出乎意料，Norman的主场一直都是很稳的，特别是TTU最近几次在
norman打的一点脾气都么有。再加上今年他们打的也不好。
但仔细想想，也不是那么意外。上场打Kansas，上半场就是极其挣扎，但是kansas确实
是太弱了，再加上下半场的防守大爆发，也算是有惊无险，但是OU的诸多问题再次被凸
显一次。整个上半场的防守都很烂，感觉队员都很松懈，kansas很多都是easy first
down，被认为“kansas 本赛季打的最好的一个半场”，NND，可见我们半场打的何其烂
。然后就是临近半场结束前，红区5码线内，连着有至少5次进攻吧，由于孱弱的
running，被硬生生防成field goal了。印象中，在红区内，先是两次running，负的码
数，然后又想试试最擅长的passing，结果防守队员太密集，也没搞成。
今天终于遇到一个比kansas要强的队了，OU 问题依旧，没有一丝一毫的改善。红区进

Does Chinese school(such as SHUFE or Peking University) count special issue
publication the same as normal publication of the journal (for promotion and
Tenure purposes)? According to my advisors, it does count in U.S. schools,
as long as the paper went through a peer review process.
However, it seems to me that most of so called Chinese “增刊” (special
issue) does not count at all in most Chinese schools.

和他们的AP见面了，买了pizza给我们second year的TA学生吃！
听AP介绍了一圈，我的感觉就是这学校有钱，每个教室都有smartboard，笔记本电脑！
学生还可以 rent 笔记本电脑！而且还要通过面试和考试，学生才可以进入这个中学！
而且学生着装统一整齐，有小男孩儿还有小领带！可爱~~~~
后来见到了我们新的TA seminar的facilitater，他以前在district 75工作了很久，都
是和special Education的学生老师们合作！
知道很多信息，关于纽约高中 diploma，也听了一些他在DOE工作的故事！经验丰富的
资源了！
很佩服那些Special Education的老师们！

据说这个special counsel嘴很紧，这个过程预计在川普第一任任期内都很难完成。
这样川普至少不会再受到russian干扰了。
而且russian调查无论调查到什么程度，最后都不可能搞到川普。
所以这个实际上是川普的好消息。
现在害怕的反而是西婆了，西婆email绝对会被重新检视。
