Co-worker好像就是在美国流行用。英国人还是说colleague，所以无伤大雅。
不过有个中国人最常犯的错误，就是说"I 'can' speak English"或是"I 'can't speak
English" instead of "I speak English"或是"I don't speak English". 我记得我
上中学的时候(我是小时候就来美国的)，我们的英文老师就为了这个句法纠正过一个刚
来的中国移民。这个在中国人里很难理解，因为"can"/"can not"就是"会"/"不会"的同
意辞。不过在美国人来说，这个"can"/"can not"的"会"或"不会"其实比较是"能"或"不
能"的意思。基本上，根据我们英文老师的说法，每个人都"能"说英文，这和现在"会"
或"不会"说是两回事。所以不能说"I can not speak English"，只能说"I do not
speak English".因此世博会上的那句话正确说法应该是"I am sorry. I only speak

我在通过了fpgee之后很长一段时间，都没有去准备口语， 一直混日子。 等准备了，
又觉得非常难考到那个magic 26分。 就这么日子如流水般过去， 直到今天我就当花钱
买罪受， push自己去try了一下，虽然我知道第一次我肯定考不到口语的26分， 但是
至少一来可以逼着自己好好准备， 二来也好知道真正的考试感觉和得分， 对自己有个
正确的估计。
我今天的感觉是， 没想到第一部分阅读如此紧张， 时间基本非常紧张， 加上真的很
久很久不做这种题目， 一时之间很不适应， 反正就是20分钟一篇，总共3篇赶着赶着
60分钟给做完了。 3片文章分别说了历史上机器的普及，生物上物体的保留和进化，
以及艺术作画方面的topic.
听力是最最简单的一部分， 不存在任何时间或者技巧的问题， 任何人我相信都可以轻
轻松松的搞定， 就没必要说了。

child longer to speak. Also, engineers' children sometimes wait longer to
speak. Yet, when they speak, they can speaks long sentence. Some kids are
"perfectionist". They refuse to speak unless they can master some sound.
Some other well-tended children see little needs to speak as their guardians
can already read their minds.
In my opinion, 2 yr old may be too young for parents to worry about kids'
speech skills.

However things are not as easy as you said. We do not have a Chinese-
speaking environment at home (my husband only speaks English). It was easier
for me to speak Chinese before my daughter started talking. Now she is 25-
month old and has quickly picked up English from the daycare and her dad. I
am out-numbered by the English speakers in her life. She starts showing
