我是用台式机装的win8，在换到win8前我一直觉得没必要升级，win7就够用了。反正机
器多就升级一台吧。用上之后才感觉到win8比预想的要好的多。就把所有的机器都升级
了。
优点：
1，界面非常流畅，用惯了就好了，用win键切换两种界面非常快，一开始还习惯用
desktop，后来发现metro界面也不错。现在也把常用的东西挪动metro上。
2，Performance有很大提高，这点是对我吸引力最大的，开关机就不说了，程序启动和
切换都有提高，没有从前东西装多了，系统就变慢的感觉，整个系统性运行平稳流畅。
3，很多APP都polish了，这倒是每次window升级都有的，每个软件都有升级，fix了好
多bug。就不多说了，每个人爱用的功能不一样。
4，兼容性很好，so far几个机器上还没发现兼容性问题。升级很顺利，driver都是自
动找到的。

一直喜欢用firefox，你可以开无数tab，也不用担心好多浏览窗口叠在一起。在你浏览

其它软件之间切换的时候，不会点数次鼠标。最近用firefox到国内网站访问了一圈，
之间遇到一个热心的聪明人强烈建议我使用加了google sidebar的firefox。而我当时
就是使用带google sidebar的firefox访问的该网站。不过出于习惯，我还是严辞拒绝
了盛情邀请。
不过没办法，谁让我又遇到一个热情的聪明人呢？
结果我现在不得不放弃firefox了，因为在这之后，我以前安装的A9，yahoo sidebar现
在和google sidebar一起，每次启动firefox的时候都会自动出现。即使在view->
toolbar->里面把那些bar前面的选择去掉。这样我每次打开firefox，屏幕的第6行我才

要搞定1，i.e.，要在mac finder's side bar直接看到windows的public folder，必须
在windows, control panel, network and internet, network and sharing center,
advanced sharing seettings里面选择 turnoff password protected sharing。
这样的话，不需要密码，就可用直接去windows的public folder。其实也合理，不选择
这个选项，的确不应该在mac finder sidebar上面不用密码直接看到windows里面的东
西。
第二个也明白了。因为我以前 share了windows上面一个其他的目录。所以mac直接把这
个目录mount到了finder sidebar。因为mac比较聪明，知道这个目录在那个pc上面，所
以把pc的user folder也直接mount在sidebar上面。合理的。

常用的folder除了可以象finder中加在左边sidebar，还可以加在上边，相当于扩展了
sidebar;
可以open in tab，这样通常一个path finder window 就够用了;
另外，Mac有点很让我抓狂，就是在某一个文件夹中打开文件，做了修改之后，保存时
竟然不是默认存在同一文件夹。不知道
有没有什么办法改变？ |

protopage用来打底，IM 用meebo嵌入到webpage中，gd的floating sidebar补充一些网络
功能，比如这个online flash
mp3就可以用来听podcast,然后windows taskbar还是得要，主要是要quick launch打开
total commander什么的。总体来说百分之五十的桌面是可以移动的，就是protopage这一
部分,连墙纸都是url.
这不是什么热门网络技术了，不过web 2.0 最近buzz的很多，所以拿出来娱乐一下，而且
web desktop/application 基本也是未来的趋势。另外，protopage真得很酷，就是现在
功能少了点,呵呵 |

我从来不用gd的local search,local indexing,但是gd sidebar还是很不错的，如果有一
个standalone的desktop sidebar会好些。
