刚才来了个公司做lawn analysis，说是给草坪和院子里的树和花啊施肥打虫子的。
lawn1600ft，38-50刀一次，trees&shrubs 3000ft,94刀一次，6周一次，一直做到10月
底。
这个是应该做吗？想问问大家都做这些吗？
觉得请公司打理挺贵的，我想自己打理园子，又担心做不好会让树死掉。 |

, usually it's 2 circles a day and 3-4 days a wk. time-wise ~7am & 7pm?
no watering for sure when the sun is strong. :p
lawn (more exposed) needs a bit more than shrubs and trees which are usually
covered by mulch & barks. also, see if you can replace spraying w/
dripping. that saves water and avoid watering the weeds. |

条线死了一大片草坪。把他叫回来看，态度还蛮好的说这是不能接受的，可能撒多了，
说要给我换草皮，还免费剪次草。然后就失踪了，开始还接电话找理由，后来连电话都
不接了。我气得肝都疼。这种被药死的草坪还能长的回来吗？还是只能明年换草皮了？
顺便问问对付这种无赖有什么办法吗?难道就认倒霉？花钱雇人弄死草坪完了自己还得
费多大劲去换草皮，实在太气人了。 |

I used a mosquito service last year who sprayed for me, and she made the
mistake of showing me what she sprayed and how she did it...now I am doing
it myself*!!! If you start early in the spring- like March for here in Texas
- you can actually prevent the problem before it starts. It is much harder
to control once you already have a problem.
Follow the directions on the package, also adding in the vegetable oil (to

细细缠满了卫生纸！！他们花了好长时间才清干净……
我查了下，这种行为叫vandalism，每个州都有规定，在我这，这样的可以算犯罪了，
会有记录和罚款。但是没有证据，叹……
我看老美论坛上的回复超牛掰，有人曾经带着枪出来直面teen们，还有建议坐在自家门

I have a couple of landscape trees/shrubs in my front yard, ranking from
tallest to shortest: a wiping cherry, a bloodgood maple, a rose of Sharon, a
dwarf apple, a green-leaved maple, a Crimson Queen maple. In addition,
there is a two-story tall spruce with very long/thick needles. A little bit
away from the house, there is a dogwood, another rose of sharon with pure

flowers, and a few others. Any time in a year except winter, there is at

不知道是什么道理？
再仔细观察邻居以及一些居家的草坪，似乎沿墙周边，大多是种植shrubs，而不是草坪。
不知道是土壤原因，还是风水因素，决定草无法沿墙角生长?

夏天：浇花浇地，空调维护，剪草，除杂草，open游泳池和运行维护
秋天：吹树叶，trim shrubs, heating系统维护，地下室防潮，close游泳池，草坪修补
冬天：铲雪，房屋保温,节日装饰
其他杂事还有很多,总之只要想干总是会有事情作 |

to the house, so the backside view is not blocked. I have a lot of shrubs
and several retaining walls (left from the previous owner) across the knoll
to secure the soil (actually, a lot of rocks underneath) |

还没有看到虫子的话就可以先等等。不时看一看叶子是否有卷曲或者有小孔。当然，你
也可以预防性地喷一喷。一颗树应该是够的。我刚才喷了一颗20 ft高的weeping
cherry，一颗30ft高的苹果树和一棵6ft高的maple，瓶子里面还剩一点点。
如果你买bayer advanced tree&shrub protection，你需要在长叶子之前浇到土里面，
不过不是有机的。 |

比但不会长太大的矮种树。像加州的stucco,配矮种的棕榈树就挺好。木头房子配日本
枫好看。

trim all bush/shrub to the shape you like, they will all green next year.
many flowers are multi-year, some are one-year w/ seeds. But you can keep
all of them as is, no trim or cut. Water and fertilize next spring and they
will come back.
if heavy wind in your area, plant support poles for your roses and small
trees, otherwise they won't survive winter wind. |

是歹徒都有枪！入室偷窃入室抢劫这种事虽然很少发生，但一旦发生可能就要了命，不
仅仅是财物的损失。
我来聊聊我自己是怎么自我保护的吧。希望对大家有点启发。
首先是绝不露财。我家里的shade晚上永远是关着的。平时开车进车库后，我总是先关
车库门，再下车搬东西。如果买了比较值钱的家电，我肯定不会把包装箱放在垃圾桶旁
等人收走，而是自己开车丢到垃圾站去。我有个朋友不久前买了台70寸的大平板，结果
没过一星期就被人破门而入搬走了，这就是个教训。
我的大门都是那种厚实木的，都有deadbolt，而且每扇门还配有security bar（如果你
不知道这是什么东西就上网搜door security bar），晚上回家后除了锁上deadbolt，
还会顶上security bar。window guard我还没装，等天气暖和了我考虑装两个。
ADT我没装，但是上网买了几个ADT sign，插在房子四周。我还买了六个假的security

后来，弄DRIP SYSTEM， 铺砖，拿砖拿多了，手磨在粗糙的砖头上，手磨的疼。 后来
弄那个DRIP TUBE，把小TUBE插到小的CONNECTOR上，到后来，很费劲，把我两只手的手

么保养，工具的使用，一些草坪问题象杂草什么的怎么解决。。。。。
可以去自己当地得图书馆找找这本书。
这个书是the experts系列里面的一本。这系列一共有11本，出了这个lawn的，还有
house plant， garden diy， flower， tree and shrub。。。。。 |
