Frankly I don't see a shared fence. For example if my neighbor builds a
fence that surrounds his backyard, it makes no sense for him to come to me
and ask me to share the cost for the fence close to our border.
And of course if your neighbors on both sides and back build fences with 0 ft setback, then you

和emergency用一根线。对于压缩机只有1级加热的hp,resistance就是即是2nd stage，
又是emergency。所以用一根线是合理的。
问题所在是t-stat智能太低。有时候你手动把温度调高，就是想启动二级，让温度快点
上来，而有时候是因为setback造成温差大。t-stat无法区分这个差别。而且也不能简
单地设置成只要setback就禁用2级，因为温度太低的时候禁用2级温度根本上不来。 |

其实我觉得这件事是个公关问题，多过是个法律问题。LZ应该借这个event和邻居啦，
HOA啦多沟通，多叫苦，联系群众，博取同情和理解。大家住一起，做邻居，还不都是
为了过的开心一点。——如果这个邻居非要较真拿篱笆大做文章，还上了法庭，那是犯
众怒的事。就算他赢了，以后其他邻居要修篱笆怎么办？也要上法院搞一下？大家肯定
是不答应的。

以我的county为例.房子侧墙要求有至少6 feet setback
而空调的安装要求也是至少6 feet setback
这样起码有12 feet远.
像你说的只有2米,你的房子,以及邻居空调的位置可能都不符合规定.
当然要先找到你的county的规定再说 |

那整个小溪确实是wetland，有100ft的setbacks，所以一半前院一半后院在这个
setback里面，如果要做新的construction就要申请permit，倒是说都问题不大，感觉
town里就是要钱而已。
发水机会不大，小溪是活水，向北遇到马路的地方就是地下水道，地下流过马路继续向
北。即使下大雨应该不会积水，蚊虫可能性低。整个stonewall（lot正中间那道）隔开
了房子和wetland。
现在是很不爽，已经sign了binder而且contract就差我们签字了。房子是很喜欢，就是
这个wetland比较揪心。 |

如果有翻盖房子经验的朋友，每次City来检查的时候，必定有些紧张。如果房屋哪些地
方建造得不符合当地建筑code，city一定会让你返工重来。而今天Sand Hill在Main St
.的故事，一定会让你大为颠覆。
看看现有的Cupertino高楼，你会发现没有在路边拔地而起的。哪怕是S. De Anza Blvd跟
Stevens Creek Blvd交界的那个十几层高楼Cypress Hotel。也是接近马路边沿有一片
空地，然后大楼才像搭台阶一样，一节一节往后越来越高。这就是遵守库市建筑退让标
准(setback)的结果。而库市因为过去一直都市化程度不高，因而不光对楼高设限，也
对setback有严格限制。有了建筑退让规定，楼高相同的情况下，能减少单位面积高密
建筑物的容积，也是一种限制高密度，还有保持市容的手段。库市制定这些建筑标准，
