“秦”，它是古代印度用来指代中国古代秦王朝的专门术语。在古代印度的史诗《摩诃
波罗多》(Mahabharata)一书中已有“支那”一词出现。这就是今天英语中“China”一
词的直接来源。在西方汉学史上，德国汉学家李施霍芬博士(Ferdinand Richthofen)曾
主张“China”一词来源于今天的越南地区。此说也许有点根据吧。因为秦汉之际的社
会动乱之时，曾有不少中原人避难来到当时的安南(即今天的越南)地区。英国汉学家拉
考派瑞博士(Terrien de Lacouperie)以为起源于今天的云南地区。但他是以上古时代
云南•印度贸易来往的历史角度来定论的。如能成立的话，也只说明印度的“Ch'
in”即是由云南传入的“秦”。法国汉学家考狄博士(Cordier Henri)甚至认为《旧约
全书•伊赛亚书》第四十九章中的“Sinim”就是指“Sin”、“Sinai”，即指中
国。此说的成立没有充分的汉文史料的证据，只说明了比较语源学上的一个可能性问题

我对车子外观无所谓,谁知一年后airbag的灯亮了,一查,两个sensor要换
dealer死活不认账,非把这个sensor的问题归于那个1年前的那个dent
说是车子出了事故,warranty用不了
修车铺子的人说,其实sensor根本就不在车门里面
还主动打电话給Honda的service manager
他们还是死活赖帐,气死我了,跟那个serice manager吵过好几次
他就是一口咬定那个dent,说这个sensor很敏感的,门碰了一下就会影响
这个自己修要花1500刀,走保险要自己出500刀(估计只能用collision了)
打算打电话給Honda customer service
请大家搬我看看怎么和他们argue

tire, 还做了A service. 他们说一共化了快$3000.
现在9个月开了12K.昨天去换一个灯泡，地鸟检查说brake pad 快没了，要换，engine
filter要换，要做Brake flush, transmission service. 还有就是一个automotive
belt 也要换。包括Serive A, 整个
报价$1852. 郁闷的是，这个brake pad就开了12K就要换，我以前的车开了66K,去检查
，地了还说pad很厚。难到他们卖
车时说谎了，没换说换了？还是这车就这么快？请有经验的朋友给个意见。
另外，我发觉如果做Serice A,也包括check and clean air filter, 这个air filter
和engine air filter 是一回事吗？地了单独列出要换这个，我想可能应该不同吧，但
不肯定。

上照片了，我拍"service" 因为相机不稳，所以拍出的是重影。
是"service“而不是"service soon"

小插曲，就是那jumper开始的时候,连上电池正负极，试了好几次都不行。第二天，叫
保险来拖车，刚买的保险，加了roadside,就不用付钱。 保险半小时内就派人到了，帮
忙试了连jumber启动,居然可以启动了。原来是那个jumper本来没充够电，前一晚上充
了一个晚上就可以正常工作了。 启动了车，就开到suberu serice换了机油，电池，

方法（１）剪小了TMOBILE 的SIM卡，放进去，开机，没有任何提示要输入UNLOCK
CODES。失败.
方法（２）我选择不放入SIM卡，开机 ，在电话界面输入卖家建议的号码；跳出要输入

。要求输入SERICE PROVIDE CODE，但是确没有数字键盘自动出现（以前的手机有的）

1042S上的内容应该是你treaty免税的收入。对于中国学生，按treaty免税的收入应该
是serice wage的头5000和non-service fellowship的全部。
如果你有1042S，而且上面提到的免税的额度都出现1042S上，w2上的都是免税收入之外
的，就不用管1042S，也不用填8833额外claim treaty。寄也只寄w2、1010，不用寄
1042S；
如果你没有1042S，或者免税额度有部分出现在了w2上，才需要填8833，并在Line 21把
需要claim的部分扣除。8833表每人每个状态一份（比如夫妻合报都是学生且都要额外
claim，就要各自填一份8833）。
但所有报税材料都要妥善保管，便于以后备查。 |

但至于你说的在校TA/RA收入是否算fellowship全免税，本版精华区3也有讨论，见仁见
智了，最好还是按是否提供serice来区分。
IRS是默认你报的都正确来refund的，但未来三年可能会audit，查出来了要补材料，
argue不成功就得罚款，挺麻烦的。当然也有人按你说的那样报了，也许没被查到，就
跟超速一样没人抓就没事，被抓了自认倒霉。看你自己愿不愿意铤而走险了。
