上学期还没结束的时候就申请了DYCD暑期的Ladders for Leaders Program。挺幸运的
被选中，参加完两个workshops关于写简历和面试的，感觉还不错！虽然该知道的都知
道了，在熟悉一下也不错的。因为高中生的暑假放得比较晚，要7月份才开始，所以
Program的工作分配也要等到7月份。
参加完workshops，每个人把自己的简历修改一下，email回去给DYCD，然后就等他
们帮忙联系实习的地点了。之前有个在大都会博物馆的实习，可是我对历史，艺术啥的
都一窍不通，所以也没去。再回复DYCD时候我还是把教育领域的放在了第一，第二个放
的是non-profit，第三个放的是community development。六月底的时候，我还在学校

ore realistic to shoot for merit-based scholarship, or even need-based schoo
l loans than that. You'll have no idea how financially stressed your fellow
students could be, let alone those hard-working poor guys coming all the way
from the ghettos.
Admittedly some top schools provide need-based scholarship on a broad basis,
but the tuition would dwarf the amount of such scholarship paid. |

that need-based aid probably isn't something one (especially an
international student) could/should plan on. It's helpful to have a

1.As far as I know,MS pharmacy (within college of pharmacy) is research
based graduate study,usually need a professional degree (PharmD) or its
equivalent foreign BS in pharmacy for admission,other discipline may/may not
be admitted depending on school.
2.if your previous study(undergraduate) is not in English,then you need
TOEFL/IELTS,most graduate school need GRE for admission,no matter you are PR
or citizen.
3. it will take about two years for MS.

今年5月MASTER毕业申请了OPT来做实习，马上秋天继续在同一个学校同一个专业读phd
，新的I20这个
月底生效，那时OPT自动失效。一共只用了3个月。想问一下如果中途quit PHD再申请
OPT或者重读另
一个master还可以申请OPT吗？假设至少一年以后。
另外我申请的时候OPT说明只申请了3个月，EAD卡上expire date确是一年以后，不知道
算不算他们
工作失误。

(although I do not have as long working exp as you do). A PhD degree in
finance also haunts in my mind, esp. from a top schoo, but I guess: should
you do that, the only career path you might go afterwards is academia, given
your age/past exp. I guess that is fine, if you are really interested in
research, right? But on the other hand, I think , finance research in

在读phd，同时修另一个系的课准备拿master。按照他们系的规定是提前一年交申请，
转过去一个学期，修够八门课就可以拿到。于是在简历上同时写了PhD Candidate和
Master Candidate，毕业时间是一年后。但是我现在为止没有在他们系提交申请。
想请问这个会影响background check吗？谢谢！ |
