retainer 本身的material cost 大约400块左右，是在你2年后摘掉牙箍的时候才需要,
然后每半年回去复查一次，复查是免费的，因为orthodontist也就是问你是不是
everything okay,然后会帮你调整一下 retainer的弧度而已。你的那个contract应该
是cover 前两2年牙箍的价钱，为了安全起见，你可以再和他们确认一下是不是
retainer的material cost也包括在你的合同总款以内。如果没有的话，到时你也可以
用FSA来付。顺便说一下，刚开始的牙箍会比较臃肿，很多塑料或金属的bracket贴在牙
上，但是过了一年就可以拆下来，换成一条比较优美的小铁丝，美观很多。

方便，要用thread,好处是不会丢，也防止孩子长大后晚上睡觉时偷懒不戴retainer），有些是用wire的，有些是用plastic retainer. 我个人是不喜欢permanent retainer,觉得老有个metal wire 在牙后面一定不会舒服，且用牙线不方便。不知你有没有询问了这方面。

，好麻烦，我可能会选permanent的。别说小朋友，就是我自己，可能也会偷懒有时候
不带retainer了。
唉，话说我的牙，小时候在国内无知啊。当年觉得有龋齿就得赶紧去看医生，牙医也无
知啊，治龋齿就杀神经，结果影响周边的牙全都发育不好，真郁闷。

因为是driver side,旁边东西塞得满满的,只有一个小缝可以把手伸进去.花了很久才把
hood 里面headlight retainer的小扳手扳起来,release了大灯,从车里整个拿了出来.
换上新灯泡,往车里放的时候,那个retainer的小扳手终于被扳断了,从根儿那里断的.现
在大灯还没有完全塞回车里,但也拿不出来了,因为小扳手断了,怎么办呐>_< 大家有什

但ebay上的东西良莠不齐，就算你挑对了model year，也未必能给你送来真正的匹配
另一个办法是买一本service manual，在body一章找到bumper retainer的具体型号，
去dealer的parts department那里买（不要以为dealer都是老虎，很多时候省钱省力）
另外，光眼前这两个东西掉了，bumper cover一般不会下垂的这么严重，在cover的下
边通常都有若干个retainer或者螺丝固定着bumper，你需要钻到车底下仔细观察，有可
能需要把车的后部用千斤顶顶起来来获得良好的视线
如果所有这些都做了，仍然不能很稳固的把bumper cover固定好（默认是坐上去不会移
位）。你可以考虑到body shop，或者自己山寨。去body shop，一定不要去那种非常正
式，有专门办公室，好多办公人员甚至还有秘书的。这种店是开给保险公司的，自费去
会被宰死。你可以在网上搜一下附近那种非常烂的body garage，通常就像一个破烂仓

就注册去上课了，发现价格已经改了，是$19，
不过用promotion code (X2B-C8B-A94) 依然可以减少$2。
现在已经不能只是开着电脑耗时间了，我试着开机，但出去了3-4个小时，回来就要求
重新log in了。而且也不能直接参加final exam，必须答对各章的所有试题才能到达
final exam，而且各章的题目之后还有一题“security question”，就是问关于前面
学习材料中的图片、录像中的内容，所以还不得不点击看看，总共也需要不少时间。不
过有个节约时间的方法，就是先到问题的一页，看完问题再点击“previous”回到前一
页寻找答案，利用IE的“编辑”菜单下“查找（在当前页）”的功能可以快速定位。如
果中途log off再回来log in，得一页页翻过之前做过的章节，不过不需要重新做题就
是。到达上次退出地方，就自动加载之前这一章的内容。

房版多年来，一个长盛不衰的话题是，“这个房子风水好不好”？发问的人在google上
截个图，然后大家就讨论路冲，反弓什么的。本人风水盲一枚，但从字的本义讲，风水
不外乎“风”，“水”二字。如果你的房子下了雨以后，水排不出去，积在地基周围，
土壤吸水后容易膨胀收缩，长久可能引发地基沉降。又比如邻居比你的地势高，水流到
你的后院，你能说这个是好风水吗。降雨很少的地方如德州等，如果地基周围的土壤过
分干燥，也会引起地基升降。所以新的房子在夏天有时还要在地基周围浇水。要是不考
虑水的因素，什么房子都不用验了，反正坏不了，白蚁什么的也无法生存。干燥的地区
，房子可能发生的问题，比潮湿的地区也少很多，破房子可以随便住。风水里的一些概
念，可能和不同地形的排水状况有关。所以你真的很在意风水，还是先从排水的角度观
察一下地势。了解房子的排水状况，对于接下来检查地基至关重要。这些年气候暖化，
谁也不知道什么时候会来个百年一遇的大雨。不怕一万，就防万一。

他家的fence也没有了，我现在知道的方式只有花几百大洋请人做survey。你告诉一个
更快捷的方式好不？
而且以上并不是我关心问题的重心，重心在于鉴于目前2feet的差距他是不是该加
retaining wall在靠近这个fence的地方。问了city的人，貌似他们只知道4feet的
retaining wall需要申请permit，对于多大的差距需要加retaining wall他们说不出个
条条来，只让我继续打其他部门电话。。如果有好的建议倒是希望多听听 |

而且我把它换位，如果发生在我家，我会做出如何反映。话说retaining wall是有各种
各样的，我不是写了”等等“， 你不长眼睛的？莫名其妙！如果这和retaining wall
没关系，那楼主就不要说这是retaining wall。
如果这墙真发生在我家，我当然要去搞清楚的。好端端的，本来啥都没有，为什么要去
做墙，为什么要去做grading？ 你怎么知道这玩艺做出来符合city 要求？不需要申请
permit和做工符合要求是两码事，摆脱！
人怎么造我们当然管不着，滑稽的是可能去管么？

地包天三个月，对牙一个月就够。
retainer可以在吃饭的时候取下来，吃完刷好牙齿再戴上。方便灵活又便宜。
下排牙齿戴retainer还能把上颚略微撑大。正好腾出空间来，以后带牙套的
时候就能把那两颗长歪的牙齿弄正了。 |

education, 每个位置干得都不错，都改进了职位的performance不少，大家公认能力强。
但是我发现，自己会对其他成员的表现和做事方式不同，或是对他们作的不够的指出来
。可能会对其他成员造成压力。
比如说，我做过treasurer,知道哪些事必须立即坐，而不是拖，但是俱乐部的
treasurer经常不出席会议，而且很多时候会拖事情。我会指出来，直接写邮件该
treasurer,咨询某事做得如何，是否该跟进某事。自己做过membership, 知道
membership要如何引导新成员，了解俱乐部的各项服务，而不是叫新成员填个表就了事
，而且要知道哪些成员会retain,那些成员不会retain,比如intern成员不会retain,分
析哪些职员会是可能的新成员。
我明白每个人的做事方式不同，而且这是个俱乐部，每个人都是义务参加和承担责任。
但是我不认同不好好做事，而且把工作标准降低。而且看不惯作好好先生，把所有存在
问题掩盖，表面一团和气，而且不作为。

最近考虑换个工作，跳之前想确认一下可以保留PD。作了一些research，能找到的最权
威的条文是state department的notes(9 FAM 42.53 NOTES)，我找到的版本是11年10月
27号的，其中第五页是这样说的：
a. Unless revoked pursuant to 8 CFR 205.2 for fraud or misrepresentation, a
priority date accorded by approval of an employment-based first, second, or

我气愤的是律师给我们发这个retainer agreement 前，主动把我们的表填完了，给了
我们造成了不需要我们再多付钱的假象。他们如果先告诉我fee schedule, 让我们先签
retainer agreement, 我们没意见。 |

发帖数: 652 | 49 revoke有两种，一种是移民局直接revoke, for whatever reason。一种是雇主提出
withdraw, 移民局接到请求之后去revoke。所以无论哪一种，最后都以revoke结束。
移民法并没有区分什么revoke可以保持PD，只是说revoke都会丢失PD。但是移民局的
memo说，只有因为fraud revoke才会丢失PD。问题是memo不是法律，可以变。按照这位
律师的说法，他已经有些客户在140 revoke之后不能retain PD了。不要忘了，以前
retain PD的成功率几乎是100%，即使revoke 140也能保持PD，这是写进移民官手册的
。现在连续出现不能retain PD, 是极为罕见的，绝对是上面给了什么指示，所以他说
是个disturbing trend，一点不夸张。
