role。 而雇主的distinguished Reputation可能需要national claim，我也会加上一
些媒体和网站上看到关于单位的获奖和报道。 但是我需要证明自己的National Claim
吗？
我觉得我的情况和大多数在研究机构和公司的研究人员不同，因为政府的主要职能是为
公众服务，公众的满意度高了，整个政府机构就有效率，就会有好的reputation，甚至
是distinguished reputation.只是不知道移民官会不会承认这种类型的Reputation。 |

09fall 我申请的是CS Master，是想来美国工作，当然工资高是目标。
现在因为逛论坛看到一些master program reputation的问题，想问问大家。
哪些cs master的reputation比较好，对将来找工作有帮助。当然我知道个人能力最重
要，但是在相同的个人能力下，学校项目的口碑应该也会有不少帮助。
我现在拿到了一些学校的AD，包括UCLA，UCSD，IVY等。Stanford还没出结果。我想问
问大家在这种情况下该如何选择学校？我看Stanford要7w一年，实在太贵了。
另外，都master是读thesis plan 还是project plan对找工作有帮助？

在我上面，但是政府的各部门可以说是各司其职，我们部门有50多个人，在我上面的有
4个人，而且只有我的直接上司还做一些技术活。虽然我不管人，但是我会主管一些重
要项目，还有就是我的工作会用来指导其他人的工作，而且我的工作关乎当地的政府形
象和政绩。我还能肯定的是我的工作联邦很重视，每年都有专项拨款。我们单位不管对
当地还是对联邦都非常重要，也有一些政府结构上的“第一”，只是不知重要性是否可
以用来证明单位的Distinguish Reputation。我会claim Authorship,Contribution，
leading role 和 media report. 不管成功与否我都想试试，有结果我会通告大家。如
果不成功也就是当回小白鼠了，在本版受益良多，就当回馈本版了。 |

我们看看国内的文化，中国人早已经把撒谎当做日常生活工具。对中国人来说，只要不
是谋财害命的谎言，其他的谎言都是可以理解，不该被处罚的，甚至被视为成熟的标志

Just think the differece between students of Beida and other

结果和更多的方针，老板想找个journal。我们自己属于theoretical computer
science -> Algorithm。
想问问如下几个journal 1.reputation or prestigous 2. 方向对不对口。老板自己不
是很清楚。
1. IEEE tran on Networking
2. IEEE tran on vehicular technology
3. IEEE tran on mobility
另外还有一个 wireless networks，老板是editor，但是老板说这个journal不怎么样。
如果这些不对口，老板就想放回算法的journal。

老板知道这些，但是不知道和上面的比如何。
