I still need to pay the tax of the tuition and other fees (like application
, books, etc). The tax of tuition is still a lot of money because the
tuition will be shown in my w2 form.
In this case, can I take education credit, or tuition deduction?
A major concern is that the tuition is not paid by myself. I am not sure if
I qualify for the deduction or credit or not. |

means this is AFTER TAX reimbursement, you can cliam the tax benefit for it.
To determine if you quilify for the tuition benefit, please refer to the IRS
publication 970.

霜的药用价值及毒性有一定认识，在古人经验基础上，近代科学家又进行了深入的研究
，发现砒霜（三氧化二 砷）及青黛、雄黄（二氧化二砷）组成的“青黄散”可以治疗
白血病，其后进一步将砒霜精制成三氧化二砷制剂，又经一系列制剂学、药理毒理学及

有个tuition
remission,这个就是属于TAA里面的benefit，如果被取消，也就是学校无法保证你做Ｔ
Ａ之后，
能够给你remission学费。 也就是说，你有可能要交一年２万多美元的学费， 这个
学费是现在做
ＴＡ学校给你付的。
你说的那个是减免学费后， 给TA 的工资，这个是市场决定的。 但是学费那个是属
于benefit
里面的，建议你仔细看一下。 |

1.和学生+系主任+秘书开个会？你以为一个学生的去留还这么兴师动众？系主任要是听
说我要带学生跟他开个会一定以为我把学生怎么招了...
2. RA工资只是PI成本的一小部分。时间，机会成本等等，没有PI会花时间指导一个什么
都不会干还马上会走的学生。另外，学费怎么办？
3. 不要觉得RA是20h/wk的事儿。否则的话为什么PI要为你20hr/wk以外的事情买单？
4. 不要以为PI的支出比最低工资还不如。这两天正在赶个proposal, 顺便把刚拿到的b
udget关于学生的成本抄一下：
GRA Salary: $27,000/year
Fringe benefit rate 1.80%=$486/year
Tuition remission：$22,744.80/year
(注：tuition remission不是tuition;你如果自己交的话比这个数高很多）

Assuming traditional chinese medicine made a difference here, I doubt they
can achieve remission at any consistent rate. Or a nobel prize in medicine

对于RA，老板需要出overhead 和 monthly tuition remission. monthly tuition
remission是学校和funding agency双方商定的，一般一个月几百到一千多，比实际的
学费还是要便宜很多。 |

全改餵low-carbohydrate貓罐頭, 胰島素打了半個月後已經停了.
我是很幸運的. 不是所有的貓都能remission. 記得好像是45%.
1.全面斷絕dry food, 這是最重要的. 連evo都不行.
2. BG testing at home. 改換wet food diet血糖會降很多, 血糖偏低的情況又
打過多胰島素, 貓咪是很容易血糖過低休克而死的.
BG meter很多貓奴用Walmart的Relion, 它的test strip是最經濟的. 如是一般藥廠的
meter& test strip, 網路上買(我去Amazon)會便宜很多. 一般藥房非常貴.
