adjustment tax).
他们要搞的这个BAT, 最简单的形式, 就是未来在计算corporate tax的时候, 美国公司
的出口营收不用作为收入报税; 美国公司进口的产品/部件/服务, 不能作为成本进行抵
扣.
为什么需要这个BAT, 支持者主要就是两个理由:
1. 欧盟中国都有VAT的抵扣制度, BAT可以level playing field, 促进出口, 保护美国
本土就业.
这里拿VAT类比BAT其实是有点忽悠吃瓜群众的意思: 因为欧盟中国的VAT适用于自身国
内的企业, 那么进口产品自然要收VAT, 以保证和国内企业平等竞争; 有VAT的国家出口
产品, 无论是出口到有VAT的国家还是没有VAT的国家, 需要减免VAT, 也是同样的道理．
而这个BAT拿到WTO就不一定说得通了, 美国是没有VAT的, 主要就是corporate tax.
出口不收税，可能问题不大. 但所有进口需要加20%的税, 可能需要美国对WTO施加
相当大的压力．

the same refinery. Just follow a tanker truck around and you'll see this.
They track whose gas is what by accounting not by having physically
different gas. The gas stations do add the additives themselves however the
quality may vary depending on how good the gas station operator is at math
to calculate how much additive to add with each shipment of fuel." |

combustion and sulfate due to sulfur content in the fuel. For China's
current status, most of the particles come from sulfate. It would be greatly
improved by reducing the sulfur content in the fuel. btw, to mount a
particulate filter at every vehicle should cost more than improving the
refinery process. |

my screen shows that only one bp bond very briefly reached over 9% in the
past 2 weeks and it subsided quickly too. bill gross talked about buying
some of that bond 2 days later.
i also see some bp-backed muni bonds in il and tx, and they are yielding
over 10%. looks like bp is (or perhaps was) helping these local gov'ts build
a chemical plant and refinery respectively. |

to corporations and paying tax for long term capital gains instead of
dividends.
The few refinery MLPs will show what kind of cash cows they are.
NTI is buying western canadian heavy oil for less than $70 and selling
gasolines for ~$150 through its gas stations. Most of the cash flow
will be distributed to unit holders tax free.

house there very close to parks, shops. Dream of moving back someday.
I moved to Houston last year coz ATL is very slow in the market.
Houston has very polluted water and air. I goes to job sites from time to
time at south/east of Houston. Tons of refineries and chemical plants there
. Water is black at all the ports and the air is unbreathable. North/West
Houston may be better, but thinking about the other side of the |

BTW, I think aerospace and fertilizer are long term bulls; oil & gas &
refinery are short term bulls; and airlines can be a hedge against crude oil
