如果公司提供3种401k：pre-tax, roth, after-tax, 并且提供quarterly roth
conversion from after-tax；假设我的经济情况是pre-tax比roth更合算，且存进去的

实在我发原帖前就看到了。
可我实在没看出对我而言有什么问题。就拿morningstar里提到的那6个需要避免的
mistake一条条来说吧：
第一个是pro-rata rule,这一点对我不是问题，我本来就没有任何其他的Traditional
IRA,现在只是要开个用于后门转Roth的，因此本金是100%的税后存入，所以转Roth时本
金是100%免税的，这一点也再次在你贴出的另一个网页里得到印证。
第二第三个都是对于怎样避免pro-rata的影响而言的，我既然不涉及pro-rata了，当然
也就没问题了。
第四个说转得太晚，增值部分就得在转的时候交税了。这个错误我不会犯，我会在开完
Traditional钱到帐后尽快转Roth，这样根本就增不了几个值，甚至一直以现金形式在
Traditional里呆几天，所以这部分要么没税，要么是个可忽略不计的小数。
第五个其实本质上不是错误，只是没有持之以恒地这么做。我当然也会注意。
唯一的麻烦是第六个，也是我之前提到的，将来法律会不会变？这个其实谁也说不准，

转不干净了。除非你把tranditional ira全部转到roth。要注意的是，IRS是一年结算
一次tratioanl ira里面税前税后的比例，不是说你今天清空了账户，明天再往里面投
钱，就不是blend了。

都没说不能发生在同一年。我是先全部convert了我的traditional IRA（以前的401K转
过来到traditional IRA)到了Roth，然后又隔了一段时间做了backdoor Roth。
你可能要注意的是Pro-Rata Rule，可以具体查一下你会不会有这个问题。我当时全部

3， In-plan roth conversion不是distribution，不使用pro-rata。如果401k中pre-
tax和after-tax是分开track的，在对after-tax amount做conversion的时候，只有
gain的部分是taxable的。
4，在做401k -> IRA的rollover的时候，IRS规定是不可以partial distribution的。
任何从401k -> IRA的rollover，都会被pro-rata。例如，如果在rollover的时候，
401k里面有100k pre-tax, 50k roth, 50k after-tax, 那么，如果想转出这50k（无论
从pre/roth/after tax转出），那么其中50%（25k）是no tax的，另外25k是taxable的

好处不同。
traditional ira可以用税前收入放。如果收入超标，就没有这个好处了。
但是，注意是没有税前这个好处，而不是不能放。你还是可以用税后收入
放。
roth ira是税后收入放。如果收入超标了，就不能放了。
traditional ira可以转成roth ira。本来这个转也有收入限制的。
但是几年前改法律的时候，国会议员“忘记”了补这条。所以现在转没有
限制了。唯一的限制就是税前放进traditional ira的部分要补税。
所以如果收入超标，可以用税后收入放进traditional ira，然后转
成roth。因为本来就是税后收入放的，不存在补税的问题。done。
这个loophole是经过irs确认合法的。
注意事项是，转的过程必须是pro-rata的。比如你已经有了税前traditional
ira，今年有放了税后的traditional ira。你转的过程不能只转税后的部分。

不过后来他们被人告, 说这种做法不公平, 估计现在都是按月来pro-rata, 就是说你离

用一天算一天。直接找公司上级，bbb，政府insurance部门complain。

run-flat carries a one year manaufacture road hazzard waranty, which covers
1 year or first 2/32 tread. After 1 year or 2/32 tread, will pro-rata. They
will replace with a new tire and the waranty still apply. So in theory, if
you don't drive much, deal's tire plan might be un-necessary. |

000的31.9％共$3,191，还有接近$1,500的差额，由于我没有买uninsured property
damage保险，这个差额从我的保险公司也拿不到。我的想法是等从肇事车保险公司拿到
$3,191的赔偿后，再去小额法庭告肇事车司机索取1,500的差额。
