I was very excited when China first announced the Shanghai to Beijing high-
speed line; It seemed like a great and reliable way to travel between the
two cities without having to go through all the hassles at the airport.
But after the line was launched and its speed lowered for safety reasons, I
realized that flying was still cheaper, quicker, and safer. I see why the
government needs to massively subsidize their high-speed system now.

(1) Following in the footsteps of ex-premier Zhu Rongji (who built roads to
nowhere), China will build railways to nowhere, to pull itself out of
conomic slump.
(2) That China lack sufficient railways is just an excuse. Transportation of
goods in US is mostly accomplished by truck on roads, which Mr. Zhu |

100yard， 中间都是preserved的树林。 列车15分钟或者half hour一趟。 附近没有车
站， 所以车都是快速经过。 具体位置看下图。
在屋内和屋外都听了以下，因为有树林（比较高大的树木）， 能听到比较柔和的列车
经过的声音。我觉得稍微注意便可以听到， 但是一旦谈话就可能听不见了。 朝向树林
的有楼上的一个卧室和楼下的family room. 两个卧室在楼上另外一边。
如果是你们， 会对这个房子附近有铁路有顾虑么？ 我们准备住上5年左右， 然后会卖
掉。 想听听其他人的意见。 |

通常是每个周六和周日开。打电话没人听，不完全确定是否开。不过还是决定冒险去一
次。一般8号线向东就可以了。为了不白跑，没有走8号，转走94号，听说一路风景比8
号好看。路上还不错，只是现在这个季节有点凄凉。估计秋天是比较好的时候。
开了差不多一个半小时，到了地方，果然不开门。所以就将车停在外面，走了进去。里
面一个人都没有。平时会有不少活动，希望以后有机会再去凑热闹。
