(作为年仅31岁就晋升哈佛正教授的青年才俊,尹希教授最近得到了很多关注。其中一
篇关于他的专访进入了一名同是美国大学华裔教授的女科学家的视线。因为觉得这样的
采访不过瘾,她突发奇想,想亲自采访一下尹希。于是就有了这个我们今天看到的两名
科学家之间的对话。这位女教授使用了化名,这是她出版自己几部科幻小说的笔名。对

航空发动机气动热力国防重点实验室副主任,长期从事动力工程、工程热物理及流体力
学领域的教学与科研工作,并在基础科研和多学科的应用技术领域取得了一系列国际领
先水平的创新性科研成果。
他在1984年发明的"沙丘驻涡火焰稳定器",获国家发明一等奖,钱学森同志称之为"一
项长中国人志气的重要发明"。该成果广泛应用于我国多种军用航空发动机中,取得了

staff就能千人,大家好好学学人家是怎么忽悠的!这家伙在bell lab的位置自己给出来
了,还算诚实,但是自己提高了在普林斯顿的位置。普林斯顿这个中红外材料实验室是
他老板Claire F. Gmachl离开bell lab后创建的,英文名称应该为MIRTHE(mid-

上海科技管理干部学院庄一龙副教授所创立的“斥力子理论”是一种物理哲学理论,该
理论认为,地面的物体一旦动起来,不管方向如何,都具有一种挣脱地球引力的能力,
就好象物体吸收了一种对抗万有引力的物质。
该理论把普朗克能量子看作是一种具有对抗万有引力能力的实物粒子,称它为“斥力子
”,并认为物体运动状态的改变,就是由于吸收或释放斥力子造成的,作用力的过程是
实实在在的物质转移过程,通过斥力子的转移,斥力子所具有的质量、能量、动量就会

There is always a "But".
But the number of quantum bit in a quantum computer that can barely crack
128 bits of secret key will not be able to crack 256 bits of secret key.
Say it has 2000 quantum bits in the quantum computer. The quantum computer
that can crack 256 bits of secret key will be at least 4000 quantum bits, if
not many more.
Building a quantum computer with 4000 quantum bits is exponentially harder
than building one with 2000 quantum bits. In this sense, the previous

既然有人争论方的学术水平,就上网搜了一下。应该说这个水平对于一个junior
faculty来说可以算是很牛B了,但是对于老方这种senior的已经搞了一辈子的人来说,
就只能算so so。不要说是院士,离aps fellow的级别也还差了不少。引用率最高的一
篇文章还是95年到了arizona之后跟老外合作的,被引118次,这也是方唯一一篇被引用
上百次的文章。可见方励之89之前确实没有做出过什么重要的工作,他的名声和地位绝
对是靠政治得来的,当然其中部分的也是80年在中国搞科普所得,必须承认科普工作也是
有重要的社会意义的。
(BTW,有人说你这个搜索未必完整。不错,确实不能保证100%毫无遗漏。但是我
用的search engine is THE search engine everybody in this community uses today.

It's "correct" that quantum communication provides secret keys that cannot
be damaged by eavesdropping. While classical encryption of the keys can be
detected (note detect is not the same as crack ).
But the quantum scheme in the satellite program is useless in practice.
First, the classical encryption algorithms provide us with enough security.
Classical keys, say 128-bit scheme (or any value for current status quo),

Take for example the first successful theory of gravity, Ptolemy's system of
epicycles. It was used before Newton to describe the motion of the planets,
by assuming that the earth was static in the center of the world and the
planets and the sun revolved around it. It gave relatively accurate results
