Now the biosketch for NIH funding application requires PMCIDs listed.
I could not find the PMCIDs for the following pulications. Can anybody tell
me how to apply for a PMCID for each of them?
As for no. 3, what shall I do to resume the processing for getting a PMCID?

通过大家的讨论和自己的一些所见，我觉得讨论中有一些是很有道理的，但是也有部分
比较夸大。
总的来说，找position不是做买卖，每个商品明码标价。既然是一个综合评价的过程，
涉及的因素就不是简单的一两个。publication的重要是一定的。少数情况下
publication不够强，但是其他因素可以弥补。我记得网上以前有人贴过一个华人mm，
文章一般，但是拿到MIT的位置，凭的是大牛老板和K99。我自己也听说薄厚一片
developmental cell拿到Purdue AP的例子。同样得益于大牛老板和好的方向。但是这
些不能代表一般情况。大多数例子都是有很强的publication才能进入on-site。文章有
多强，每个领域都不同。甚至每个年景都不一样。有些年份，某些领域出了好多CNS，
要是都涌上job market，可能还真不好说。但是我想有多篇CNS，可能一时有挫折，但
是长远来看，应该还是能找到位置的。
大牛老板当然重要，大牛代表着关系，代表着未来研究的方向和潮流。这些对于AP未来

Postdoc is not hired by quality of publications. Whose student and from
where are important factors. Your friends' pulications play no-essential
role in hiring. As above said, they are hired from connections. Your friend
has no connections PI needed, so PI has no incentive to pay. |

But schools hire less (or much much less) in a tough year (like this year).
Many schools just don't have openings. Demand is lower, while supply
is higher. So many people couldn't find a job. For the people who got one,
they may getter better and/or more offers in good years... Sure if you have
good pulications, good recommendations, goo presentations, you are likely
to get a job (maybe in a good school), but the point is it is |

Finance的？你能否找到B-School的Department of Finance教书？我这里假定你是说的
是做Faculty, 也假定你说的不是Pulic Finance。其实嘛，你只要能找到位子，在经济
系或Finance教书没啥区别，不都是做Research嘛，关键是你能否混到Tenure。 |

education-related job? I only have a bachelor's degree in Int'l Business.
I am applying for ESL major now. Since what I am doing now has nothing to do
with this major, I wanna quit and find a more relevant one in the near
future.
BTW, can you share with us some of your insights about the ESL teaching
market? Pulic school? Community college? Or...? which is better? |

and another one is "notary pulic and medical school" . The "notary public"
one I used on April was gone. I called ECFMG and told me although the
announcement came out on MAy, it will affect all the applicants whose
verification was not finished after Aug 2008......I am not sure this is true
or not. And also the problem is many medical school don't know this new
role for the application and definitely will slow down the pr |

cow boss to support you, you may have big chance to get it.
But I don't understand why you want to get k99, since you are a resident, do
you really have that much time to do research?
