EB2，目前就在等待我的priority date（2014年）到期好file 485. 最近看了uscis的
visa bulletin发现EB3的可file 485的priority date都已经到了2015年了，所以开始
想像大家一样看看能否降级eb3然后relink来加快处理。另外本人的专业特点是文章出
得很慢很少，所以暂时不可能办eb1。
我的问题是：我的情况下到底能否办理eb3呢？ 是否办理eb3对工作所需要的学位是有
要求的呢？因为我的职位是assistant professor，是否会被uscis认为是这个职位至少
需要phd，所以根本不批或不接受我的eb3申请呢？板上有人有类似经历么？

supporting letter。不知道是否要在开头介绍“assistant research professor”？
感觉这个title好像有点。。。
如果不写，直接说是某某journal的editor话，把letter放到某个university的
letterhead里又显的很不搭，因为介绍中没有提到与这个univerity的关系
而且结尾署名，用Dr.好呢还是Prof.好？
请有经验的指教 |

PI，已经退休了，但我才发现他的title是research professor（他有correspoding
author的文章），他回信说愿意帮忙，但他已经退休了，所以不能写。我考古了一下，
退休教授没有问题。但他是中国教授，又是research professor，大家给个意见，这种
情况还应该再争取一下么？这样的推荐信对EB1a还有用么？谢谢 |

目前是一大学的assistant professor持H1B签证，485还在pending中。前两天收到美国
另外一个大学的邀请做短期的visiting professor (两周），并付我这两周的工资和
travel。请问这样的情况收这个大学的工资会不会illegal，会不会对485的approval有
影响？因为在H1B的情况下是不是只能收当前雇主的钱？

校的律师着手准备申请绿卡。希望能早排队。绿卡类型EB2 perm.
现在是今年8月就可以提到senior lecturer 了，然后因为干的好，院长和校长都很满
意，开始考虑可以未来2-3年给assistant professor.
现在有问题了，律师说。。。只要我的title 变了，不管是senior lectuer 还是
assistant professor，绿卡申请都要重新来！！！我觉得不合常理阿？！大家努力工
作不就是为了promotion 生活过的好一点吗？难道为了等绿卡，我要拒绝一切
promotion?
能不能请教这里有经验的人给指点一下？ 非常感谢！ |

我先生，最近拿到的两个offer.
software engineer，业界数一数二的大公司，年薪9万外加bonus。大城市。
另一个，中等城市，排名100的州立学校，assistant professor, 9个月8万。暑期得自
己找funding.第一学期给一个TA和一个RA的support.
我觉得还是software engineer好，主要是大公司，将来发展前途大。州立学校压力大
，工资却还少。要是将来拿不到tenure会很被动。还没跟他商量要去哪，想听听各位的
意见。谢谢。 |

assistant， associate，和professor 包括adjunct和instructor各个等级的教授工
资 高过医学院和工科教授的 更别说和理科文科的比了
不过Finance的教授 比accounting的还高一些 professor等级两科都有２２-２６万
不等
确实商学院教授的工资挺高的 |
