each， 4s是100.
结果12月初看到SD上，以及dealmoon上纷纷说walmart iphone 5 合同机降到了125，顿
时觉得很亏。想到discover应该会有price match的program，于是翻出来条款开始研究
。首先确定了手机是可以申请price match的，然后买手机的时间也是在3个月之内，原
始的receipt也在。唯一让人头疼的就是walmart的offer在网上看不到价格，必须到店
里去。而discover的条款里面说，如果offer是网上的，需要打印网页，如果是店里的
，需要有printed的poster。我懒得跑walmart，而且也猜想不会有poster，于是动力就
减少一半。但是过了两天看到frys.com有个网页赫然写着iphone 5合同机126 each，
bestbuy 5和4s都有50刀的减价，觉得不妨试试price match。

match每张收手续费$50,这样一共还可以拿回$300左右。打电话去price match，昨天
等了一个多小时没有人接电话，今天一共等了3个多小时，终于在40几分钟前有个人接
了电话，让人吐血的事情是：机票价格竟然在电话接通之前不久（大概20分钟）的时候
变了，变的比我们买的时候要高。然后就被告知因为她查不到我们所说的价格，没有办
法帮我们price match了。
我把他家这两天特价票的网页存了下来。请问还有没有办法去argue是他们客服让顾客
等待的时间太长而导致我们不能做price match吗？去complain会不会有用？
另外，其实在票价变高之前我们和客服的一个人说上话了，但听说我们要price match
，她就告诉我们要给我们转另一个人，然后就让我们又多等了1个多小时，导致我们没
有在票低价的时候和他们提出要求。不知道她是不是故意这么做的，是不是UA对待这种
事情的策略。
请有经验的人说说我还有可能拿回我应该拿到的$300 voucher吗？先谢谢了。 |

1.此行业的发展前景如何？我个人理解这是一个非常specialized的工作，不知道以后
还有没有机会转到像consulting之内的行业？
2.作transfer pricing最重要的技能是什么？我不太清楚transfer pricing需要的是一个怎样的skill set。也许更偏重IO,law and writing, 但是并不需要太多的economic modeling。不知道这个想法对不对。

In terms of monopoly, there are 5 or 6 major suppliers in the market with
some more fringe suppliers. Consumers perceive that there are non-price
differences among the competitors' products; producers have a degree of
control over price.
I think my initial confusion comes from my trying to combine elasticity and
price discrimination in one context. When we say "the firm sets price to
maximize profit", does it mean that you have to assume a single price first?

比如有参加auction的有两个人，一个按照1st price auction来bid，另一个按照2nd
price auction来bid，我的感觉是最后的结果（who is the winner and how much is
the payment）应该等同于两个人都按照1st price或2nd price auciton来bid的情形。
也就是说谁的true valuation高谁赢，payment都是等于2nd highest bidder's true
valuation。如果参加auction的有多人，而且有多个item，结果是否仍然是一样的呢？
这个问题可能没什么现实意义，我在网上大概找了一下居然没有什么文献，这种
auction有没有什么特定的名字？哪里能找到一些结论性的东西？

发帖数: 542 | 36 我数学很差，但必须计算这个模型下的option price，怎么办呢？我见有特别特别复杂的用什么fourier inversion, charactersitics function去推导price formula的，看得我头晕。能用simulation的方便去模拟stock price dynamics under risk neutral measure无数遍然后把每次得到的option payoff平均下来当成option price么？这样的结果精确么？
如果必须要推导公式的办法，怎么推导啊？谢谢！我的model是包括price jump and volatility jump，两个jump size是linearly correlated. Jump arrival rate 是 lambda*V_t, lambda是个positive constant,V_t就是latent volatility process中的V_t.
