1. hospital privilege,
2. Get referral. (ER, inpatient),
3. Your patient's satisfaction. etc.
You can share calls with other physicians, this usually is not a problem, especially now we have hospitalists.
I agree with againstwind it is not a good time to start your own practice.
However, I know some friends did very well. One PCP who covers NH as
regular business started his own practice about 2 years ago. At the

tests (eg. Kaplan Trainers) correlate to the real one. I mean what score we
need to get in the Kaplan practice tests in order to have a great chance of
passing. Some previous post said it would be guaranted to pass the exam at
the first attemp as long as you can get 60% or higher in those practice
tests. What do yout guys think about this?
I know the 1st attempt passing rate in 2009 is around 87% for US-educated.
