抓捕，其中21人就职于律师事务所，4人在纽约皇后区政治庇护办公室担任翻译，一时
引起很大反响。
其实此类案件并非个案，也远未终结。近年来，入境美国后非法滞留的中国大
陆人员人数不断上升，这些非法移民背景复杂，不仅有教育程度不高的农民、工人，也
有受过高等教育的中小企业主、科研人员、教师、医生等。他们大多数人英语程度较低
，所掌握的技能无法适应美国社会需要，只得游离于主流社会之外，靠赚华人的钱维持
生计，生活艰难。为了获取在美国居留的合法身份，不少移民纷纷打起“政治庇护”的
