开始写这个题目完全是一个偶然。有一天，在和同事聊天的时候，接触到论坛这个词
，虽然以前听说过，但从来没有见过任何一个真正的论坛，更别说在上面发帖、回帖了。
最初的动机不过是想找个论坛，试试论坛到底是个什么东西，所以写了一些很不象样的豆
腐块。后来又听到点击率这个东东，还看到别人写的什么什么十日谈一类的系列，就萌发
了跟他们比一比的心情。想想自己没有什么别的大本事，只不过在美国多待了几年，对那
边的生活有一些了解，而且对汽车情有独钟，所以就开始构思一篇关于汽车的文章。既然
是和别人比比，起码门面就要大一点，起个什么名字呢？干脆，人家有什么十日谈，我就
来个一月谈吧，这就是“在美国买二手车一月谈”的来历。
写了不长时间，引起了广大网友的积极反响（1年月内点击率超过50万）。尤其是那些
在美国的朋友，很多人等着看下一天的内容，急着去验车、买车。这才感觉自己责任大了
。怎奈自己的文字功底不深，又不是什么汽车专业毕业的，每每想到此，禁不住要出一身

对方友善的，答， “Yes, I am。How about you?",通常大家都会理解，会适可而止的。

果polish被擦干了就再补充一点。擦个两三轮后应该就可以擦掉了。
所以你需要的只是一瓶强力polish,推荐meguiars scratch x 2.0，去walmart买一瓶就
行了。
但如果蹭得比较深，就必须Cleaning -> Sanding -> Compounding -> Polishing 了，
不用电动的不现实。
没有车库并不是问题，买个Cordless drill + Compound Pad + Polish pad 就行了，
花不掉100块。 你去一次bodyshop肯定不止这个数。
指甲、硬橡皮什么的都是邪道，会把漆弄坏的。 |

That price is for 一般mani. Shellac is much more expensive (you can google
gel manicure to find more). It requires UV light to harden the polish. After
that there is no drying time -- you can walk out of the salon and start to
abuse the nails any way you want. The polish will survive at least 2 weeks
and will look good as new.
Since the hardening requires UV light, you cannot do it at home unless you

思想斗争改来改去了一两个礼拜，找了一个whiteflash 的 ACA， whiteflash上5颗星星
的。F, VVS2, 0.8 carat, three stone setting. 加上旁边两颗stone (0.25 each, A
CA ideal, F/G, VS) 和setting 差不多7000， 觉得价格还挺可以。用了pricescope
discount, 用了$100 discount. 算是跟信用卡公司和Whiteflash 都确认了。8过要5月
才能收到了。
在BN 和 whiteflash 找预算内的，找不到 HCA 各项都是excellent的。现在这个算出
来小于2，light return 是 excellent 也就认了。cut, poslish, symmetry 都是AGS
ideal. 这颗很好的地方，虽然号称VVS2, 但是inclusion 只有一点点 pin 和 needle,
我在AGS report 都找不到在哪儿。

指(称为wedding bands)，这才是以后生活中经常戴的戒指。wedding bands因为 便宜
所以经常戴着也不用怕掉怕被抢，而engagement ring因为很贵所以一般都是在某些场
合才戴上的。
我上个月花了折合8400元买了一对白金wedding bands，没有任何样式，就是一对
圈 圈。需要说明的是白金不是铂金(platinum)，白金是white gold，还是gold的一种
， 不过因为颜色是白的而与黄金(yellow gold)区分开来，价钱上白金和黄金是一样的
， 都大大低于铂金的价格。另外需要说明的是要去好的商家买，以后若是圈圈的尺寸
不合适了还可以拿过去改尺寸。
买engagement ring花了我很多时间，需要说明的是，如果有条件，一定要买个钻

发帖数: 2183 | 16 新添了个神器porter cable 7424xp和神腊Collinite's No. 845，给车来了个全套
detailing：
洗车-擦干-clay bar-polish-paint cleanser-wax
前面洗车擦干clay bar就不多说了，传统步骤。后面三步全部用神器完成，省时省力效
果又好。以前没有神器，闲麻烦，从来没有polish过，一半直接上wax了。porter
cable 7424xp是一个dual action polisher，可以装上不同类型的pad，干不同的工作。
polish的时候用的是橙色pad和meguiars ultimate compound，主要用来消除light
scratch和水渍。只polish有问题的地方，完了之后换白色pad和pinnacle paint
cleanser把全车都过一遍，这个东西主要用来清理paint里面藏的污垢，效果还是很好
的，搞过这个以后，paint基本是一尘不染了。最后就上蓝色pad和神腊Collinite's No
. 845。这个腊我也是最近才听说，用了之后果然名不虚传，水在上面基本停不住。据

2.5cm长，2,3mm 宽的小划痕（可能会生锈）。
dealer说 polish bumper + bumper上面的那个金属壳 一共900刀；另一个option是我
polish bumper,再touch up那个金属壳上小划痕，这样450刀。
我的保险是500 deductible, 而且还有一个月就下一个 billing cycle了，现在用保险
， 一个月后肯定涨保费了，不知如何是好。 请大家给个建议。
A: 去正规dealer全修，用保险；
B：一个月后再去正规dealer全修，用保险 ；
C: 去dealer 只 polish bumper + touch up那个小划痕， 不用保险；
D: 去找个老墨 polish bumper + touch up那个小划痕，不用保险，应该可以便宜很多

在这里羡丑说说自己对欧洲，特别是英德的二手钢琴的主要情况。其中会讲到我弹过的
好的钢琴，价格，还有一些有趣的见闻。
不是刺激国内的人，国内大部分好的钢琴家都没弹过真正好的钢琴。超一流的钢琴我认
为永远不是在大音乐厅里的concert grand(音乐会钢琴），就算是英国的皇家音乐厅(
Royal festival hall， southbank),美国的卡内基（Lincoln Centre)里的几架最典型
的steinway钢琴，在我眼里，耳里，手里（这两个hall的 steinway D 我都弹过）都不
是最佳的状态。原因有几个： 这种超一流音乐厅的琴一般是最‘稳’的琴，也就说对
于顶级钢琴家，他们最容易上手，但多半是不能弹出他们最喜欢的声音。第二，这些钢
琴，被无数调音师（音尔厅的聘的调音师，钢琴家自带的整音师）调整过了，因此个性
时刻随着每场音乐会不同的钢琴家在变，无法定型成一种演奏者自己的声音和触键的理
想状态。笔者不谦虚的认为，长居在国内的一线钢琴家，老师，学生，极少数对钢琴的

发帖数: 2297 | 27 是的，因为会刮花然后变黑。 maple 指板一般是上清漆的，平常可以喷一些 guitar
polish 维护。我用的是 Martin guitar polish。但是，在使用前要研究清楚guitar
polish 会不会和你的琴指板上的漆产生什么不良反应。还有，上了polish 之后一段时
间内指板可能会有点涩涩的，推弦不是那么滑。
Ebony 和 rosewood 就容易多了， 用柠檬油就好了。但不要过量哦。 |

你这个活,你polish了再打蜡跟你直接打蜡, 效果能差多少?
其实我就是觉得象clay bar这种东西忽悠的成分大,
日积月累的氧化和磨损, 那么一哗啦久能修补?
polish当然效果好, 不过那时把上面那层全磨掉了,
1年2年polish一次差不多,多了恐怕漆层也顶不住了.
其实搞这么复杂,就像吃了10个烧饼撑了,
真是第几个吃饱的,也都说不太清了.
无意抬杠, 很羡慕你的干劲能把车拾掇这么干净.

Polish is probably the worst-looking and most WS among the European
Caucasians. British, German, Scandinavian, Italian, French, and other East
Europeans such as ppl from Czech and Yogoslavia probably are all better-
looking than Polish.
On the other hand, "BangZi" is probably one of the worst-looking types in
Asia.
So the combination of both worst-looking groups cannot produce a good-

park车的时候车子擦到大黄柱，于是黄色的paint就这样stick在我的前bumper上了，但

在clearcoat那一层.....
去车行问了下，喷漆之类的加起来要300刀...谁去做啊
上网也看了看，有人说买rubbing, polishing compound或stratch-off或nail polish ？
我应该怎么做？ 买polishing compount？ 如果是，什么牌子比较好？

锻炼了。写下来给大家参考。
材料到处都可以买到，都很便宜。
洗车的用的是Costco很久前买的洗车液。
蜡用的是Meguiar's Carnauba Liquid Wax
加了一层finish,用的是 Nu Finish Liquid Car Polish
买了一个电动6寸的polisher/waxer，walmart也就20块。
几块microfiber cloth。
一个hand applicator，就是一个把手，套个帽子的那种。
RainX Original刷窗子的。
开始前洗车尽量洗干净。干之前用一块新的microfiber cloth抹干净。等车干。
应该用claybar把车身过一遍清干净的。我买了Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit。
但是偷懒没有用。
上RainX，喷了后用microfiber cloth抹匀。抹完后再抹一边。等15分钟用microfiber
cloth擦掉。

gas mileage? Did you not notice that race cars get wax and polish while in
station for changing tires and during refueling?
Give it a try and don't forget to do comparison. I did and I got ~2mpg on
highway drives (3 hr drives, same road, before wax and polish and after wax
and polish). |
