我们大概是8月到9月之间组织了一次团购。现在分享一下主要经验。
1. K3 vs U1。琴本身的质量其实是差不多。K3开价低，团购的话大概还能再便宜500左
右。U1开价高，所以团购大概能便宜2000左右。
2. 团购U1的话，一般人数大约在20至40人之内。很多琴行超过10个就给团购价了。
3. 一般跨州购买钢琴免销售税。但是运费可能要加一些。
4.U1每三个月调价一次，不知道K3的行情。所以现在组团，大概要在3/31前下单。
5.通常琴行不喜欢收信用卡，用卡的话大概要加价2-3%。
6.琴行如果是针对group order，一般只给同样的offer，不太可能对团体中的某个人单
独对待。
7. 以前yamaha有long distance agent，现在没有了。直接联系local agent就好，但
是跨州没问题的。所以住在state boundary的选择就比较多了

kawai保值多了。
你那个不利于初学者的说法我不同意，很多钢琴老师都是在U1上开始教小孩子，然后才
过度到grand上。

1. A dealer "quote" on a new U1 is usually given to those who come into the
store and either observe posted pricing or those who are most casual in
their approach and show no buying signs that they have settled on a
particular model. When a shopper shows a serious desire to purchase now,
often the raps come off and the real price discussion begins. That is how
and when the lower pricing emerge. It often happens that the shopper does a
causual drop by his local dealership, then gets down in the dirt at one
miles and miles away. Hard to understand. I always recommend folks give
their local dealer every opportunity to earn their business. That said,
intractable dealers that stand on high prices and are not willing to bend a
little only feed the competition.
2. There is no injunction from Yamaha about not selling out of a dealer's
market area. They do strongly advise against quoting pricing over the phone.
Once a shopper crosses the door threshold they are fair game to be sold.
Many potential customers and some dealers are still confused about this
issue.
Our first visit to the nearest Yamaha dealer resulted with only about a 20%
discount offer from the salesman.
After more research & a few follow up conversations with the same store, we
ended up with the U3 at about 40% discount one week later. |

In my oppion it's not worth joinning the NJ group. Not mention we can further argue the price with dealers around.

1.一台U1是7299+TAX, 包括delivery, 2 tunings, 1 bench, warranty
2.他们两年前与从Cary去的中国人做过Group sale, 具体的价钱会稍后会联系我.
3.U1的parts和assemble都在日本.
4.四月会出新款, T120-SC, 性能和U1差不多, parts 是日本的, 在台湾组装.价钱要少

发帖数: 106 | 65 I called a great salesman in VA, who was a piano teacher for 25 years. In
his opinion, K3 is more appropriate for the beginner to the intermediate
players. Three aspects are considered when comparing the pianos, sound,
action and benefit of the features.
K5 has xx( I didn't get this word) hammer and 1" higher than K3 (49" vs 48")
. In theory, K5 has a louder sound. But it is no differentiate for the
beginner's ear.
The action is the same for K5 and K3.
He has a vote from 100 buyers, 99 bought K3 while 1 bought K5 because of not
much feature difference but the $1200 price difference.
The advance player prefer grand piano to enjoy the quality of sound.
Above is the notes from our conversation. Hope it helps. Even I still like
K5. I am a person who 只买贵的，不买对的 :)

website.
K5 has more features than K3:
1.Inverse Tone Release System. Therefore the sound is more ambient and
balanced.
2.NEOTEX Key Surface. The semi-porous silica-filled key surfaces are used to
absorb hand’s natural oil and therefore resist cracking and fading. While
K3 has Acrylic/Phenol key surfaces.
3.Mahogany Hammer Moldings have high strength to weight ratio.
Here are my thoughts.
The first one is not a big deal for a beginner or intermediate player. AS
for the second one, will the oil absorbed into the key surface has potential
problem after several years? I am not sure about the last one. Some people
say the string length of K3 is actually around 45”. But I cannot get it
confirmed. From Kawai website, I can only find out the 1# string length of
K3 is 46.9”, and 47” for K5, which is not a big difference.

Basically, the feature different is not as big as $1200. That's the reason
most of the people go with K3.
In our group, 4 people like K5 and 3 people like K3. Does this help?

Kawai adjusts their price every three months. Last year they increased three
times.
