感觉amazon得recruiter在面试时间上不是很flexible，我想约1周之后，人家不同意，
说一定要2天之内，所以也没怎么准备。
问的题倒是不难，跟版上很多人比容易的多
1st phone interview
1. hr 问题
2.find intersection of 2 arrays
3.design locker renting system
面试的是个印度人，不过没有什么口音，估计是在这边长大的，人很nice
用纸和笔写，然后告诉他
2nd phone interview
1. hr question
2. shuffer an array
面试的是个中国人，不知道他是累了还是不耐烦了，总叹气，我也有点紧张，他说话居
然听得不是很清。
这次是给我一个link，我在这边coding，他在那边就能看到。
coding总共用了20多分钟吧，中间他给我挑错，我再改。。。
写完了，他说他没问题了，我说这就没了？不是一个小时吗，他说正常是40分钟-45分
钟，留些时间给你问问题。我就问了几个，不知道是不是 |

准确的说，technical phone interview也应该是phone screen的一部分吧！我这个帖
子的标题写的有误导性，其实不是
onsite interview之外的都应该算是phone screen，不过是一阶段一阶段的深入罢了（
第一阶段，一般recruiter先了解了
解情况，汇报给hr manager，第二阶段再安排几个技术主管等二轮电面……），如理解
不正确，请高手解答！ |

First and second keeping one week each pace (one week for setup and
interview, one week for response to next round).
This time, I respond even a slower pace, asking them to have the 3rd phone
interview in 2 weeks.
Anybody had similar 3rd phone interview? after it, did you get onsite or not? |

Well, myself is a little bit giving up amazon after knowing there is 3rd
round of phone interview, so I give my last question as follow:
"what's your comments on the comment that"Everything in Amazon is a fire
drill".
I think the damage is big, so I got rejected the next day.
Lesson learn, be prudent in phone interview, as you don't have body language
or chance to make it back once something went wrong. |

phone interview没有过？
phone interview时，hire manager 还一直让我relax，感觉气氛很融洽，hm还笑过好
几回，但是最后问个什么缩写，我一点也不知道，hm还说没有关系啥的。当时觉得这个
hm真是nice,现在想想可能那时候hm已经否定了我，所以我不知道没啥关系。面了1个半
小时，感觉可能是从什么地方出错了。请问怎么才能在面试中知道hm对自己是真的感兴
趣，还只是professional的nice?

题，也没有准备，结果hiring
manager问了我一些基本的东西，会不会这个，那个。。。我回答说这些太简单，我做
的是更高level的。然后就没有回音
了。
第二次2009年， 无聊时去GOOGLE一看，这个位置还在。结果第二天Google recruiter
发email说我是不是对这个位置还
感兴趣, 几天后Recruiter回信说他和hiring manager讨论过，认为我不fit这个
position. 我也回信说我不是你们要找的人。
这次我又无聊得去看了一下，这个位置依然还在。第二天Google recruiter又发email
问我是不是还感兴趣。我说我以前好
像已经被你们认为不fit这个位置了。他说这次不一样了，你已经跳到了Google的竞争
对手那里，对Google就变得more
valuable了。然后我说我不做那些level比较低的活，他说不要紧，先谈谈再说，于是
就约了下周的phone interview。

You can think and set all the conditions about phone number.
In this case, i would like to set phone number format as follows.
FIRST OF ALL, DELTE SPACE, THUS , USE REPLACE method.
Then , replace all the '-', then replace all the '(', then replace all the '

Okay, then use indexof , might be instr, to find 0123456789.
And if found, keep folder path and file name to save into file by using
streamwriter class.

早上miss了个phone interview.:'( Email中强调了让他打座机因为怕手机信号不够好
，他说好的。 我一时大脑抽筋，在约定时间五分钟前把手机关了，怕有别的电话打进
来受干扰， 其实按往常，调成震动就好了不必关机的。 结果，结果，那厮还是打了我
手机（列在简历上的），留了个很不高兴的言。 过了十五分钟，我看还没打来，反应
过来，开手机听到了留言。 再按他留的电话打过去和发email过去， 他都不理我了。
写出来，让大家作个前车之鉴吧。 唉。。。

that way, including a lot of non-verbal clues which you just won't get
otherwise. It will give you an opportunity to adjust - this is something
that's much harder to do over the phone.
Something similar to this is presenting to a group - I always felt far less
comfortable when it is done via conference phone. Ex: if there's a long
silence after the monologue, was that b/c the group was confused, bored, or

的话说不上前景会如何。因为当时想申请的职务属于Management，Phone Interview的
HM当场说我还不Qualify，但问我是否考虑低一点的职位。其实那个底一点的职位只比
我现在的高一级，当然工资也会高一些（我现在的公司Pay的低是业界出了名的）。我
现在还在485阶段，什么时候绿卡到了还是个未知数。新公司可以Sponsor我，无非我得
给现在公司赔些钱而已（当时公司办绿卡的时候签了不平等条约的）。
我Phone Interview完了就没有当回事，后来和猎头聊了半天，猎头看出我犹豫不决，
建议我不要再继续了，因为万一Onsite给了Offer又不去会很伤人品的。戏剧化的是，
当天晚上收到HM给发来的Follow Up Email（头一次我还没有发Follow Up，结果
Interviewer给先发了！）HM希望我继续和他联系，找个时间吃个午饭，做个Informal
Chat。看得出来他倒是很想要我，不过是做苦力的那种，稍微带点Management性质的职
位又舍不得给我。

现在问我是要做一个小时的onsite。还是phone interview。估计是最后一轮。
公司应该bar不是特别高。
这个选择应该怎么选啊。
我觉得如果是phone的话。也许表现的更好。
但是会不会有什么弊端？？
急需一个offer啊现在。
我的点就是。如果不去onsite直接phone最后一轮。
会否感觉很不好。

备别的面试，他们就给我提供了phone screen，用hangout跟他们的一个工程师做了一
次technical interview. 过两天HR又follow up说后面要做第二个phone screen，也是
跟一个他们的工程师。因为我刚开始找工作，开始有面试，不知道这种startup通常要
做几次phone screen呢？他们好像工程师总共不到5个，难道是要跟每个工程师都做一
遍面试？还是说我直接onsite的话，这个面试过程会更利落一些，直接一天能搞定？这
种startup到底要做几次面试呢？先谢谢大家了哈～ |
