genentech确实牛，roche买了genentech以后，今年14个clinical trial有11个非常
positive |

发帖数: 1215 | 5 Groton最大的问题是前不沾村，后不着店，换工作很不方便。pfizer又非常不稳定，每
半年一年就裁员重组一次。Groton很多部门都岌岌可危。连带当地房价跌跌不休。
湾区更不是什么好地方，genentech付得再高能跟湾区的码工们比吗，根本抵不过高房
价。本来就是一个民工集散地，还要去当个民工中的下层，远不如东部拿个100k的工作
过得爽快。

track的顶端等于managerial track的ED或者SD，再往上走就只有管理一条路了。我想

path 自然是有的，不一定说是在原地升级，pfizer内部常有新的opening，不少是
senior director, executive director, vp级别，觉得资历够了都可以去竞争。 |

血管病有无益处的， 结果病人用药后心血管意外不但没降，反而比对照组高了。
Pfizer只好提早结束试验，试验结束嘛，那就要跟病人把没用完的药收回来。然而很多
男病人不原意归还剩余的药物，药厂的人就觉得很奇怪，一再追问下，病人羞羞答答的
说出了那方面的好处。这个事情关系大了， 于是报告就一直打到Pfizer 的CEO那里去
了。 据说CEO站起来，一拍桌子，大喊，‘我们要发财了！’。于是这个伟大的药品伟
哥就横空出世了。
Pfizer想把伟哥的有关专利都独占起来，甚至去注册伟哥产生作用的机制， 就是PDE5
inhibitor. 想抑制其他药厂生产类似机制的药物跟他竞争。不过专利局认为作用机理
属于人类共同财产，是自然存在的，只是发现，不是发明，所以不能注册专利。伟哥的
主要竞争对手是Cialis和Levitra, 作用机理都是一样的， 不过Cialis作用时间更长，
可达36小时，所以夺走了很多伟哥的市场。
