TSC认了2和3，拒了1和4。
拒1的理由是没有specific的证据证明我的contribution是major significance。
拒4的理由是“Reviewing and editing publications in a journal is not

完全照抄Aprilmm的。因为我是两个小孩的妈，还要上班，根本没时间搞绿卡申请，3月
20多号的时候，我要到一个地方开会3天，我就把April mm和版上另外一个人的PL打印
出来，带去开会了。除了我present那天，我就在旅馆写这个了。完全是以April mm的
做模版。同时给几个人发要推荐信，我的两个老板的，是我自己写好，他们签名的，两

contribution，review和publication三项要求，但是不承认满足sustained acclaim和
small percentage， 要求30天回复。请各位集思广益，看看还有什么挽狂澜于既倒的
方法。
总的背景：
1. Publication：10篇文章，19篇会议摘要。
2. contribution：102次引用
3. review：初始提交了2个review，RFE中提交了13个review。
IO的问题集中在：
1. 我在RFE里提交了为一个杂志的13次审稿，另外还有06-07年间，老板让我为三个杂
志的三次审稿，但是06-07年间的审稿，因为是老板给我的，没有编辑部的邀请信。我
就让组里的一个博士后，写了封信证明我审过这三次稿。

审稿看来要重新组织一下，突出small percentage
具体可以这样
1。挑3－4个好杂志的列表，给出排名的百分比，用SJR排效果可能会好一些。
把你的野鸡杂志的官网仔细看看，有啥好词都贴上。
另，你是不是其他任何一个international杂志的编辑（open access的也算）？是的话
，找杂志的官方主页上自我吹嘘的部分，打印出来。不是的话，看你中文杂志里有没有
啥重量级的编辑，表示自己也是其中一员。
2。 推荐人这个，
可以用他的文章数除以他们实验室人数
可以用他的文章数除以从业的年数
可以比较你的单片引用数和他的引用数。用你高的比他低的
。。。。
3。找推荐人证明你small percentage。nature应该相当small percentage了
你有没有找过nature的一坐吹你equal contribution？ |

首先感谢IO细心审理并认可了几条claim，不再具体地讨论已经被认可的这两条
然后，针对RFE信里面的内容，提供更加详细和具体的证据证明你的contribution。
紧接着强调支持你是small percentage的证据。这是号称第二步的判定，也是对你所符
合条件的三项做一个综合的evaluation。因此，不能不强调一些已经被认可的那两项里
面的亮点。尤其是各种比较要重新强调，因为没有比较就不可能有percentage这一说。
最后可以提供一些update的证据，包括文章又多了几篇，引用又多了几个等等，点回到
你sustained national/international acclaim和small percentage上。 |

发帖数: 1663 | 11 1.收索方法正确。但结果不理想（2/6=33%）,top的意思是small percentage，例如同
一关键词有1000篇文章，你的文章引用排在第10位，10/100=1%。
--》建议多试几个不同的关键词，以达到上述效果。
2.如果接近1%就比较好一些。但如果比average citation 要高（至少高3倍），可以用
个柱形图来做比较（比average citation）。当然IO 会质疑你跟average比没有意义，
没法说明你的引用是否达到了small percentage（1%）。
--》建议借推荐人的信来吹你的引用达到了small percentage（或far beyond other
scientists in the field）
3.不用和其他专业比journal ranking，和EE自己的journal 比就行。应该排在top 的
位置吧？
4.membership 可以放在contribution里吹，入会非常难（列出入会评选标准），会员
都是牛人（只有1%的本领域的研究工作者被选为会员） |

以推荐人基本上都是大牛, 还有一个诺奖得主, 还好没有被悲剧地跟推荐人比.

的） 放在了authorship里， 所以我不太确定 cover 应该放在authorship里面的small

发帖数: 1964 | 17 今天将我和LD的485寄出去了，邮局说下周二能收到。得到大家过百的祝福之后我的二
进宫EB1A 140才顺利通过，今天恳请大家再给我些祝福，祈祷，给我加油，希望能够早
日和大家一样顺利的拿到绿卡。
附上典型土博的背景和NSC二进宫经历还有成功diy PL的感受。注：感受很个人化，仅
供大家参考。
第一次：想省事，所以花了三千多块钱请了律师（140过了，他还会再要100元），过程
中彻底相信律师，积极配合律师。虽然很多地方不能和他达成共识，但是最后还是听了
他的建议，毕竟人家是移民律师。结果，错误百出、简单粗暴的按照模板，让手下人写
PL的律师让我得到RFE之后被无情deny，虽然那时已经有CNS子刊，引用已达150，已有
十几次review。IO最后给了非常详细的deny理由，绝不是按照模板来的，倒霉律师也连
呼从来没有看到过这样详细具体的理由分析，看来IO的目的就是：你别上诉了。
第二次：冷静下来之后，拿着IO的deny理由分析信，看了一遍又一遍，拿着律师写的又
臭又长的PL（30页）分析了一次又一次，最后我自己得出了结论：如果我是IO，我也不

你的case做EB1b不算弱了，可能1）运气不好碰上死抠的IO，2）你的材料没准备好。
我觉得应从这几点准备材料回应这个NIOD，说服IO你是internationally small top
percentage。强调你review top percentage journals； 强调你的paper发在 small
percentage journal 上 （IO喜欢看%)；IO不是质疑你的contribution 不
internationally significant 吗？ 你就展示国际上是怎么引用你的文章的，你的文
章是如何如何重要的，他们引用的原话就是最原始，有效的证据。

100多，比Scopus多100，所以用了GS的引用数据。不过我又用了WS的citation
percentage的数据，证明自己文章平均citation高。可是因为没列WS的引用数据，就变
成了用GS数据套入WS的citation percentage，不知道这样会不会给RFE？
反过来，如果为了用WS的citation percentage数据，再把WS的引用数据又列一遍，又
怕IO说这两个数据库结果差别这么多是怎么回事，招致RFE。

发帖数: 968 | 25 DIY被NSC先RFE，老三样三条都通过了，却被拒了。写下来过程给各位参考，算是回报
本版，并求建议。
自己的背景很弱，跟版上的比可以说是极弱。因此一开始只是抱着试试看的心态准备。
老三样：
1.文章只有4篇，其中一篇JBC cover 兼paper of the week 兼有JBC的作者介绍，有照
片。
另一篇NAR, 被F1000推荐。这两篇都是一作。还有一篇一作的小文章，和三作的IF4分
左右的文章。
参加的会议有一些，国内的就没有写，只写了一个在美国参加的会议。
2.引用很少，加吧加吧也不到50次，做了个油灯图，感觉看着也不算特别少，毕竟有18
个countries和54个institutions.
3. 审稿从去年9月份开始攒，倒是很快，半年时间攒了大概30篇。其中6篇IF大于14，2
篇领域内top 0.1%, 其余IF从0.5-5分不等，只有两篇没有影响因子。
4. 推荐信阵容个人觉得是非常强（因为自己文章和引用实在差，总得有亮点吧，结果
亮点有了，倒是事与愿违），但栽也栽在这个上了：五个独立推荐人和两个非独立的。
