immunogenic response, they often require an adjuvant. Adjuvants are
certain substances which have the ability to selectively modulate the immune

80多岁，肾功能肯定降低，注意每天检测肾功能就是。好医院应该都会做。
HAP至少抗生素治疗14天
费用没什么好比较的。反正在美国用就算便宜，你也没法带回去。
如果细菌culture实验做出来只对polymyxin B susceptible，那就该用这个药，再贵也
得用。
现在医生纠结用不用药可能是考虑到老人家的整体身体情况。如果培养出的细菌只有
Acinetobacter，而没有其他致命细菌感染，而且grow后没有超过一定的数量，可以
argue先不用上抗生素，让病人自己抗。
这个老太太，如果白细胞数量反应正常，这个病不是自身免疫力的问题。是抗生素滥用
的结果。
她这个病，英文名叫late onset HAP
造成的主要原因是multi-drug resistant pathogens (MDR)
再健康的年轻人，长期不合理的滥用抗生素，也容易因为MDR而病重 |

拿一个生物医学杂志和综合杂志比IF是不公平的。PNAS里面和PloS Pathogan方向类似

但最近两篇文章
一篇在PLoS ONE，一篇在PLoS Pathogen上的文章说不能重复，导致了Nature这篇文章的
retraction。在Nature这样顶级期刊上的文章不大能够重复的恐怕也不止这一篇，而且
报道相反结果的文
章在每个领域都有，怎么偏偏就这篇被retract?而且如果看看后面这两篇文章，做的不
是一般的简单，连
用个siRNA证明能够knockdown都占了一个主要的figure，觉得这篇文章的retraction背
后有更多原
因，不知道是什么。 |

很多情况下面，药厂的确不关心具体的机理，而是关心如何筛选出一个
具体的分子，有疗效而且副作用小。但是如果测试某分子的疗效的模型根本
就是错的话，选出来的药不错才怪。
我觉得药厂们在目前学术界对Alzheheimer's disease的pathological reason
根本还没有定论的时候根本就不应该跟进。
药厂应该把精力和钱放在那些pathological reason 或者pathogen明确的病
上面，比方说各种传染病啊，HIV啊什么的。这些东西比较容易筛选出明确
的抑制分子。 |

并且别的系统不好回答。比如说你要搞pathogen/host interaction 这个worm/fly好歹
还是活得动物；之类的。
worm/fly都没有adaptive immune system（虽然要说起来Toll还是果蝇里clone的）。
worm/fly也都没有正儿八经的mammalian代谢的遗传/组织元素。比如说两者都没有正儿
八经的insulin（只有ILP）；都没有liver, adipose tissue，就算是有类似的组织功
能也不是那么一样；果蝇幼虫和线虫都没有控制食欲的神经系统，基本就是一辈子吃到
死的意思。。 |
