我在一个沉郁的早晨打开这本书，想躲在别人的爱情故事里感怀一番。书还是上初中看
的，和世界名著言情武侠混在一起，似乎不能满足我当时的口味。一对男女婚外恋了，
相处几日，从此不见，相互怀念——that’s it？
而现在回忆起来，我开始觉得，这个故事还算聪明。明明都在人世，没有任何误会，却
不再相见。所谓世上最远的距离。
于是，我抱着渴望被感动和学习的双重心态开始看这本书。
小说一开头，就提出了一个大家都会怀疑的问题：“Where great passion leaves off
and mawkishness begins, I’m not sure.”爱情与矫情，界限在哪里呢？
我觉得写爱情故事，最大的困难在于，男女之间的吸引和默契，是无法向第三个人表达

周末累了，灌灌水， 休息一下。总结了生物医学研究人员的等级，欢迎拍砖。
第一级 （最低级）：没技术，没idea。 让干什么实验干什么实验，实验错了不会
trouble shooting。在实验室见过几个，很难train，适合做order 东西，培培buffer
的technician。
第二级：有技术，没idea。可以安排具体的实验，有一定的成功率，可以trouble
shooting，但data analysis 差，不能决定下一步的方向。有潜在的taining 价值，
适合做会做实验的technician。
第三级：有技术，有idea， 没vision。技术好，实验成功率还比较高，可以根据实验
结果，和领域的文献，design实验，make story，可以发不少文章，但没有领域内发展

我的样本量不大，从新lab起步，总共有过 3 个薄厚，2个 technician, 1个学生，其
中两个是国人，和其他国家的employee比，最大的不同是在她们身上看不到对这份 job
应有的尊重。 让自由发挥搞得一塌糊涂，布置具体任务做不好，最严重的是口头答应

作为一个外行，我也有幸修过一些生物化学的课程，跟lz的一模一样，我感到非常
fascinated! 在一个肉眼看不见的世界里，一切似乎虚不可测却又都井然有序。每一个
discover, 哪怕再小，都是人类在探求自身和宇宙奥妙道路上前进的一步，这种感觉是
大多数其他行业所找寻不到的。
再一点,我觉得一个男人是不是enjoy他的工作对他整个人的精神气至关重要。大多数人
一天在工作的时间比花在做其他任何事情的时间都长，对工作有passion的人, 自信，
乐观，朝气，motivated, 更容易成功，也更吸引人。
当然为了谋生选择一份自己感觉平平的职业也很正常，大多数人的生活轨迹并不完美，
甚至都不是每个人都能找到passion, 亦或者为了这样那样的原因不得不compromise.
在这个意义上，lz you are very lucky! 加油！！ |

做过什么，取得了什么成绩，都要争取融到你对各个问题的回答之中。这要你才能
stand out.

发帖数: 1200 | 40 神人讲座啊，270多的高分+如鱼得水的面试。总结如下，多谢多谢。
1 考试：东西理解，要熟，没捷径。具各人情况，看待别人的经验。目标不同，成绩要
求不同。至少要有一门考得非常好。
什么时候考试，要看准备take 多大risk。时间短，波动性大，分数不稳定。
2 申请：7/1 开始，可以上交到ERAS，之前应完成推荐信，OB之类的。
（1）做OB可以增加interview数目，同时会增加interview的信心。
抓住机会做OB或ext.，同学，同事，朋友，买。可增加对美国临床的熟悉。要表现的谦
虚，肯学，勤快，不多事。找好的attending.
（2）推荐信，最好有想申请科的医生的，实在没有也可以。推荐信要好，没有好话，
不能用，就是牛人的，如果没有好话，一定不能用。实在没有的话，找中国人写的也行
，但一定要确定是好话。
推荐信重点 （由重到轻） 1 好话 2 牛 3 最好在美国的医生的，没有的同学写的也
行，但是话要好 总之，谁的话好用谁的，不论这个人来自哪，干什么，只要是好话，
就首选。争取可以看到推荐信的内容。遵守eras规定，但是要灵活掌握，一定要知道是
非常强的推荐。

活动内容：麦地近期组织了一些类的针对麦地同学的讲座活动，为了更多增强麦地间的

周六参见Houston聚会，感慨万分，悲喜交加：喜的是很多speaker都毕业10多年了，今
年终于成功match, 深深为他们锲而不舍的精神所感动。悲的是，轮到自己了，该怎么
办？很鸭梨山大。
由于我晚到了几分钟，第一位speaker ， Pathology（oldray?）没太来得及记录。
1） talk to others
2） Do not be aggressive
3） Ask, not just assume
4） Follow the rules, like HAPPA
5） Watch more slides ( for study purpose)
6） Group study
7） 别吊儿郎当（忘了这是原话还是我自己的理解。Oldray is 北京人？）

Background: 去年因为各种原因，麦地有点萧条，作为申请人不见好贴心里不免焦虑。
就在此环境中，几位既往study partner组了个pathology iv group。宗旨：此群不练
习iv，只用于定期交流各pg面试情况。
Material and Method: skype group, 不定期组会。
Result: 小组共15名成员，8名match path，4名match IM。
Conclusion: 虽然当年麦地求助无门，却发现4～7年前各位前辈热心的面经分享，受益
无穷，给面试增添不少信心。遂鼓动小组全体成员，独乐乐不如众乐乐，为2015申请
path童鞋鼓鼓气。

Yichen： 我本人属于全职复习 整个时间是两年半， 我毕业十八年，想短频快 ，
step1 246， step2 235， step3 也考了，我涉及到签证，所以step3也考了。 这就是
我的package。match我个人来讲，
我并不在美国，没有pHD，research上不能一条道跑到黑，对于病理，我本人没有
background，我想尝试回到临床，还是病理呢? 我是想选哪一个科？ 我开始做临床的
ob，针对的患者有点像社区医生，我先去的儿科，我感觉的就是，我非常apperciate你
们的细心，差不多一个小时针对一个患者，我并不是特别感兴趣，我更感兴趣是诊断，
帮助别人，我对于第二次职业更改的时候，不光要帮助病人，我也要have fun，做完第
一个临床，我一共做了后面三个。第一个ob 尽可能把底打好，他会帮你介绍，support
你，你要be honest to yourself. 我觉得我要考虑病理，不再考虑临床了。
match分两块，一个是package，一个是interview。你的package好与不好，决定你拿不
