省府就申办和举办2010冬奥，最初承诺资助6亿元，后来因保安费用不断增加，卑诗与联邦增拨保安开销协议，卑诗增拨1.65亿元。
保安开支远超预期
省府昨日公布的报告指，这笔款项的74%用作创造长远的投资，包括建造冬奥场馆和设立捐赠基金(Endowment fund)，这两方面分别用去2.9亿和5500万元，合共为3.45亿元，而送给城镇及塬住民办体育发展等具长远影响的计划亦用上3610万元。

连同周五开幕的烈治文冬奥速度溜冰馆，在大温共有9个2010冬季奥运会竞赛场馆。
烈治文冬奥速度溜冰馆是烈市唯一的冬奥比赛场馆。冬奥期间，男子、女子500米速溜
、男子、女子1,500米速溜等12个冬奥比赛项目將该这个能够容纳8,000人的体育馆举行。
在温市共有4个竞赛场馆，包括將举行冬奥男子、女子冰球比赛的加拿大冰球馆（
Canada Hockey Place，即通用汽车体育馆GM Place）和卑诗大学雷鸟体育馆（UBC
Thunderbird Arena）。
能够容纳18,630个观眾的加拿大冰球馆建成於1995年，是加人冰球队（Canucks）的主
场。而容纳7,200人的卑诗大学雷鸟体育馆则已在今年6月竣工。能够容纳6,000人的温
哥华奥运中心/温哥华残疾奥运中心（Vancouver Olympic Centre/ Vancouver

有一种说法，要在某个方面成为高手，要花费一万小时在上面。一天按工作八个小时，
一周五天，一年五十个星期的话，这就是五年。等于念出一个PHD了。
我是一个爱好广泛的人。自从去年开始骑车，今年开始骑车上班，对自行车的兴趣在自
版很多人双修三版的风气下，自然扩展到了三版。当然，这里面花叔的文章可以说是功
不可没。当然，更多还是考虑三项运动可以更全面均衡的锻炼身体减肥。
当然，爱好太广泛是双刃剑。我更大的兴趣还是在大山里面一箭收头鹿。今天比赛前，
从八月底到九月中是本地弓鹿季，自然，三项训练被迫让位。我的训练只能是靠上下班
骑车，中间去泳池，而跑步基本没练过——五公里的距离就跑了两次。最近几个星期也
就骑了三次车，游了一次泳。
