一. 简介
首先，世界上很难讲哪种食品是“绝对安全”的。面对风险，首要的问题是：风险
有多大？我们有必要冒这个风险吗？比如后面要讲到美国联邦医药食品管理局（FDA）
批准的新药同样有风险。但是，如果我们在服用新药和病痛甚至死亡之间选择，选择服
用新药是显而易见的。转基因食品的风险稍后论述。如果承认转基因食品的风险，那么
，人们有什么迫切的必要去承担食用转基因食品的风险呢？
我们将用三个实例表明：人类长期的、大量的实践是最可靠的检验。人类作为整体
完全等得起（志愿者们）长期大量的实践来证明转基因食品的安全性，可惜，资本家的
钱包等不起（比如孟山都公司一个季度的营业额就是数十亿美元）。
我们永远要对追逐利润的“科学”怀有戒心。
