发帖数: 5723 | 5 到15%的时候车会自动提醒你去oil change的，到时候会有一个灯亮起来，那个时候去
dealer换就可以了。
不过第一次换机油理论上早一点比较好，在50%的时候应该做一次fisrt oil change但
是不reset anything。后期每一次换机油建议换Syn Oil，因为Acura的oil change
interval(每一次15%亮灯)差不多是7000 miles上下，个人觉得用Syn oil对于这个
interval能更好的保养引擎。我对比过普通机油和syn机油，换油后3000miles感觉不
出大差别，但是到了5000miles之后(差不多只剩下30%的时候)，引擎用普通oil就明显
不如syn oil来的smooth。 |

去了两家不同的修车铺检查，得出两个不同的结论（从字面上看），因为我不懂车，不
知道他们是不是一回事）：
修车铺A: 要换timing cover seal
speed 1 - sleeve
PCV valve $202 (including oil change)
修车铺B：要换 oil pan gasket set
oil pressure sending unit $278 (including oil change)
我自己大概在网上查了一下，timing cover 和 oil pan gasket好像不是一个东西，修
车铺B好像跟我说了timing chain cover之类的词（我当时也不熟悉这些词，只是有个
记忆），说也可以换，但不是big deal。如果换，再加$60(including labor and
parts)

发帖数: 4212 | 7 这个oil pan 的事情，搞不好很麻烦。首先取决于能否顺利取下来。其次，oil pan 有
sensor,也有oil pump screen 之类的东西，你不要搞坏了。
装的时候也有很多注意的事项，
1. 先把gasket 用brake disk cleaner 喷一下，清洗干净。
2. 把oil pan 用engine degreaser 和小钢丝刷刷干净，里面有很多脏东西。
3. 要用RTV Silicone 把 oil pan 上面一圈 涂上一层的sealant。
4. 上螺丝的时候，一点一点的上，先上中间的，再往两边。宁可上不够，也不要用力
过大。同时你如果和bell housing 有连接螺丝的话，要注意协调力度和进度。
反正，这是看似简单，但不太好干的话。200元让店里做的话，估计只是把gasket给你
换一下，也不会帮你洗oil pan 的。所以，你要想自已做的话，会干净一些。但让店里
做的话也省了很多事情。我就把oil pan 给拧坏了，还要找人把它焊好，搞得很麻烦。

1、第一次：2012年4月左右，开上一个很低的水泥平台，以为能过，强行过，把检测
oil pan油位并传导信息的传输线刮断。但并无其他障碍，系统无报错，正常行驶。2家
（1家dealer，1家年检shop）都说没关系，修不修无所谓。
2、第二次：上星期，开上一个停车场定位的水泥墩，强行过过不了，倒出来。没有什
么后果，检查了也不漏机油。系统无报错，正常行驶。
3、第三次：昨天，开上路上一个很矮很矮的、经常遇到的减速带bump，（可能速度稍
快，但不超过20mile/hour），声音有点大。开过1 mile左右，系统就显示油压低。又
开了一会，系统显示油压低、要求STOP，要求立即停Engine、停车，并且check engine
灯亮，同时engine发出较大噪声。 在高速上继续开了10 mile，停下来，发现oil pan
漏机油。吃个饭休息一下回来，发现机油都漏光了，一地都是。

按常理分析，四驱版多用在下雪地区，特征就是更多机会发生石头/硬物撞击车底、融
雪剂腐蚀。也就是说BMW必然是觉得它采购的塑料oil pan不足以应付这些场合，所以才
不敢在四驱版上用塑料oil pan。我更倾向于相信N20上面这个塑料oil pan并不是什么
高科技高硬度防腐蚀塑料，而纯粹就是为了省成本而已。 |

有. (我妈满肚子都是妊娠纹) 我不太信, 自己就用 baby oil gel 勤抹, 宝宝生出来
以後我的肚皮一点妊娠纹都没有.
oil 或 oil gel 都很油, 常常会沾到衣服, 这一点很讨厌. 但是只要能有效防止妊娠

有解释为啥Shell Rotella T、Mobil Delvac这些heavy duty diesel oil的Used oil
analysis结果都很突出的原因，普通engine oil是S certification，例如SJ、SM。商
用truck engine oil是C certification， 目前是CI、CJ。C的additive package比S的
牛x很多，但有可能会不兼容乘用车上的catalytic converter。
我的G35目前就在用Shell Rotella T，摩托车下次换油也准备用这个。mobil的
synthetic motorcycle oil 1 quart 12刀，受不了。

事实上特级初榨橄榄油(Extra Virgin Olive Oil)发烟点是195℃-220℃，而炒菜温度
在100℃~150℃，面包烘培在160℃~200℃，除了氢化过的油脂，一般炒蔬菜油的发烟点
约在150℃~160℃，所以特级冷压初榨橄榄油(Extra Virgin Olive Oil)，反而是炒菜

if you can stick with lower grade (thinner oil, like 10w30), it helps
the lubrication. thicker oil (20w50) is more difficult to pump throughout
the engine and may take longer to reach further part of the engine thus causing
oil starvation.
sj superceeds sg so whenever sg is spec'd, sj is fine.
try to stick with 10w30 first. if it burns oil, then go up. Mixing engine oil is
OK (either brandwise or grade-wise).

,
说上面的drain plug坏了。因为我的车在warranty期间，oil pan在powertrain
warranty之内，所以我当时也就不是很在意）。
今天准备去dealer那儿换oil pan. 去之前dealer说oil pan在warranty cover之内。但
他们检查之后说是drain plug被拧坏了(stripped), 这个不是质量问题，而是做oil
change的人操作不当引起的，所以厂家肯定不赔的。
因为涉及的cost不算小（500刀）, 我想去firestone索赔试试看。
不知道是否有人有类似的经历。索赔有没有成功？先谢过了。 |

same for the 2nd change.
Honda manual is refered to Honda blend engine oil which it is mixed with
synthetic. For 3rd oil change and afterward, if using regular oil, change
before 3.5K.
My Civic is running fine with this oil change interval.
If you could, change oil and filter yourself, it is different.

full synthetic oil 一般可以8000到10000换，但对有些吃engine oil 的车如果车主

,知道fuel pump在哪里么？能看得到“ 不应该油呼呼的“，你丫开的是飞机么？
civic的oil pump是crank shaft驱动的，跟timing belt是一个地方，oil pump漏油会
直接影响timing belt的寿命，而且oil pump漏油导致油压过低，会严重影响engine的
状态，所以发现oil pump漏油应该拆卸timing cover检查究竟是oil pump gasket还是
regulator漏油。
当然，该不该花800刀那是另外一会事。 |

It is too thin for the old engine. BMW uses synthetic
oil for all its vehicles, I noticed my BMW is burning
oil too (after 5-6 years).
Burning the oil vs better protection to the engine(if you keep
monitoring oil level) + longer oil life. The industry chooses
to go with the later one. |

decreasing at a very fast speed because when oil is becoming scarce in these
countries, the governments began to restrict oil exports to satisfy their

the driver he said the oil group is automatic delivery which means they'll
make sure you always have oil and the delivery time is up to them. To avoid
overfill related problem they won't fill to the up limit.
I don't have a problem if they can keep my tank over 1/4 full at all time.
If you think your have billing issue you can check with Brad Dennis, Sales

call to put account in FALL hold to avoid April delivery at market price!!
You are still their customer at market price after 4/1/2014, just the deal
price expired on 4/1/2014!! Kind like Comcast cable, after 6-12 month you
are at market not initial deal price if you don't call them.

还有，美国大豆85%以上是转基因的，所以vegetable oil基本上也是转基因的。
canola oil是芥花油，同样是转基因的。
个人对转基因不是很厌恶，不过还是能不买就不买，现在吃peanut oil和organic
sunflower oil（amzn有卖）
混合油就是国内的调和油，是最低档的，从来不吃 |

Wanted to buy grapeseed oil, but Costco does not have it. therefore, bought
canola oil. Grapeseed oil is good for high temperature cooking, but not
sure about canola oil. My mom is visiting from China and she always cooks
oil to smoking.
What's the Chinese name for Canola oil?
